Actually, the folks ’round here are relatively sane, compared to most. My sister-in-law, f’instance, feeds her West Highland Terrier* home-cooked meats (chicken or beef), mildly seasoned, mixed with rice and broth. No, not as treats – as meals. THAT’s insane.
When tbogg and I went to pick Fenway up, I wasn’t prepared for such a scrawny puppy with a HUGE head and great ears. But that’s what we found, and of course, immediately fell in love with him. We then had to drive about 35 miles back home and he did not stop moving, even for a fraction of a second. And while the perpetual motion had slowed slightly, I would never have suspected we would have such a handsome boy on our hands. Happy Birthday my precious puppy….you do what bassets were put on earth to do…you make us laugh every day.
OT: Tonight’s Broadcast of Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest is headlined by the Jonas Brothers.
With so many wins in one show I felt that it was okay to go OT.
We can only hope that Britney shows up in a *totally spontaneous* cameo appearance…mustseeteevee, indeed.
I’m totally detoxed from HGTV, but now have become addicted to the “Dog Whisperer.” However, I don’t expect to see Cesar Millan schooling the bogg canines anytime soon, seeing as they are perfect.
Happy Birthday Fenway! You’ve brought more joy and laughter into the world than you will ever know. Thank you very much, Tbogg Family, for sharing your wonders with us.
Did you by any chance measure the “original” ears to see if they’ve grown at all — compared to the rest of his body, which clearly has.
Hey, he can keep LAT Casey company.
So, you’ve made it past the terrible two’s, at least in dog years. Congratulations.
He really is a beautiful dog. Wonder if anybody’s ever told him he could be in the movies!!!!
Heh, you know what they say about big ears.
I always wondered: does that 7:1 dog-year ratio mean that dogs are supposed to have a birthday party every 52 days? My dogs vote yes.
Fenway has the cutest skull I’ve ever seen. It’s the roundness of it that gets me.
The dignity of that expression!

Awww…mind you, I am not an insane pet lover like most here, but that dog is adorable.

*I am not, and have never been, a terrierist.
The same thing they say about big feet.
Big shoe horn.
Happy birthday to your pup TBogg, he’s a sweet looking little one.
He’s developing a very noble look about him.

His body has grown but his head is exactly the same size! What a cutie.

And I believe his “junk” [lying on his back] pose has allowed us all to see if that is true.

Happy B-day to Fenway the Cute.
Many happy returns, Fenway.

A terrific looking boy. Drinks are on me all around.

Woof!
From wrinkly soft pup to noble beast. He looks downcast in that first pic, though I know he isn’t (or wasn’t).
My daughter (the age of the LAT Casey) suggested Fenway is saying, in a very cool and growly way, “wassuuuuup.”
Happy Birthday!
Felice Cumpleanos, Fenway! Hope Mom and Dad got you a pinata…
What are those books on the top shelf behind him – is that a Reader’s Digest series? Happy New Year to all and to all a good night.
