No, I’m not going anywhere, but you never know when you’re going to be hit by a meteorite or decide to go all Thomas Merton and shit, and I felt I had to get that last post moved down.

So….

  • On behalf of mrs tbogg, thanks to Bill in Highland, NY for the Touch of Evil DVD for her birthday. No, you can’t have boobie pictures, but nice try.
  • Download free NINJA music here
  • I went looking for a book to read tonight and discovered that I own three copies of White Noise. In my defense they’re three different editions. Okay, that’s no defense at all. I also have three copies of Soul of the New Machine.I really need to pay attention. But I am finally getting around to reading James Kakalios’ The Physics of Superheroes that I purchased for the L&T Casey when she was taking physics in high school. I hear it’s worth double nerd/fanboy points.
  • My Twitter minion list is up to 154. Someday I hope to have enough followers to invade and occupy Lightning, UT. Wolverines!
  • As a service to all of the important bloggers who have been shut out of Deep Thoughts by Jake Tapper, here is his latest tweet:

The epiphany I had when I realized Johnny Ola and Junior Soprano were the same man, 30 years apart! It still satisfies.

Really. Tapper should, like, charge admission or something.

    I just got banned, didn’t I?

  • And this has been all over the place today, but John Rogers approaches internet immortality with this:

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

I think we have reached the tipping point when even Scientologists point at Randians and snicker. That’s a world I want to live in…

Updated: Please welcome  Dr. Herr Perfesser James Kakalios in the comments
