We interrupt our nonstop mocking of orally fixated conservatives to take time out for your garden variety black helicopter a-fearin’ conservatives.
According to radio racist Roger Hedgecock (San Diego perjury conviction, represent!) the Black Muslim Brotherhood at DHS is snooping on white people with guns who may or may not shoot cops in Pittsburgh or blow up Federal buildings in Oklahoma.
Ahem…. warrantless wiretaps bitches.
Approximate causes of this projected increase in whitey getting busy wit da bombs and da guns include the economy, gay marriage, country can no longer afford to go overseas and kill brown people there, losing the culture war, stone-cold bitch wives up and leaving because Mr. I Got Big Plans can’t get a job or an erection, and, of course, dishwasher detergent. Oh, and that negro guy next door got a dog with a Mexican name. So, like, die America.
Needless to say, this profiling of pasty-white Where’s-My-Fucking-Rapture LoserAmericans has offended some who might be mistaken for one of, you know, them. Like Mark Tapscott, for example. Mark takes up his mighty Quill of Righteousness and Freedomness and dips it in the Blood of Patriots:
King Obama the First has issued a law enforcement warning decree providing loyal citizens with important information about new internal terrorist threats to the peace and contentment of his kingdom. The decree is being circulated now to the authorities by First Minister of Security Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Ooooo, snap, Tap-Man.
You know , it wasn’t too long ago that Tapscott was unhappy because the FBI wasn’t looking hard enough for a grand conspiracy when Joel Hinrichs blowed himself up.
But that was pre-January 20th, 2009 thinking. Everything is different now.
(Added) New twist!: According to Mark Hemingway, Obama is making the paranoids paranoider. Or something.

When the paranoids get paranoider they’re easier to

Too many crazies and not enough mental health services for them all.
in’t there some fancy book-learnin name for dem folks who trys to inflence politiss with threats of vylence ?
Gee, Mark, maybe one of the functions of ‘homeland security’ is making people aware of the threats to our security? It’s not like there’s no history of RW domestic terrorism or anything. We understand the MO of a typical domestic terrorist: racist, gun nut, anti-socialist. You know, Mark, the typical Republican voter.
As Ari Fleisher was quick to point out – “if you’ve done nothing wrong, there’s nothing to worry about”.
Love the picture of BO and Bo racing up the WH hallway. I have an idea that this doggie isn’t going to be the little gurlz’ first – it’s going to belong to Papa. Dogz are like that.
Well duh, it’s just the current admin’s turning GWOT tactics against ‘merkins. IOW, flypaper.
You righties “better watch what you say.”

Mr. Bogg,
My neighbor must be listening to Roger. He had a hand-made “Obama is a Socialist” sign the day after the election. Who better to promote Teabaggery than a guy named Hedgecock??
Mark H. on the DHS report: ” I wonder if the thing isn’t so boneheaded it actually emboldens the people they seek to warn us about.”
Thing is, I actually agree with that. I think it’s definitely emboldening the teabaggers. The last thing we need is to give these people something that helps them achieve self-righteousnessgasm.
Part of the great Reagan Legacy. He and Meese did the same thing to California, then moved to the national stage and tried it on a much larger scale.
I like to think that, somewhere in Hell, Ronnie is mulling the many things he did wrong, in between having an eternally red hot poker repeatedly shoved up his ass.
I suppose it must make the rightwing whackjobs nervous now that the Feds have decided to pay attention what has been the greatest terrorist threat to the US for at least 30 years. These cryptofascist lunatics have been robbing National Guard Armories and armored cars, assassinating public figures, and blowing shit up everywhere you look at least since the mid-70s, but the Feds have largely ignored them since 1980. Wonder why that might be? What happened in 1980 that might explain this? Hmmmm.
No assistance needed there. They are longstanding experts at self-satisfaction.
Watching
Sideshow Bobthe Right step on rake after rake and have the handles whack them in the face never gets old.Who would have thought that making threats would be viewed as threatening? Wingnut logic at its purest.
There’s a couple of things:
1) THIS NORMAL LAW ENFORCEMENT. Regardless of Bush’s evisceration of habeas, illegal spying and everything else, it’s not unusual for authorities to put organizations on notice. If they’re are following the law (I’d prefer it to be the Pre-Bush standard), this is no different than keeping tabs on, say, gang activity.
2) If the Administration is using Bush-era wiretapping and data mining, I’m against it. But the right has no one to blame but their own sorry asses. Fucking morons.
Socialism looks better all the time.
I think Erick and the rest of the neo-cons would get a righteous soft-on at the thought of being a “gang”… imagine the jackets and the cool hand gestures they could come up with, not to mention the secret handshakes and the nicknames and titles. Wicked.
As soon as the teabags have dried (shaking on a little talcum powder never hurts and gives you that nice, fresh feeling down there…) I bet they’ll get right on it.
I think they would prefer some sort of button down shirt to jackets, perhaps Brown in color … and I’m fairly sure we all know the “secret” handsign: You raise your right arm, stiffly at approximately 70 degrees, palm outward. Is Herr Grupenfuhrer actually a gang alias?
If they don’t have anything to hide, why should they care? At least that’s what Brit Fume taught me.
behold Orcinus:
his new book is strapped with this stuff – yeow !
Geez, I’ve always thought Rooster was on our side. Otherwise, “Fill your hands you sonofabitch” won’t ever sound the same.
@Dr. Dick:
It’s totally unfair to claim the Feds have ignored the supremacist/ nativist/ neoNazi/ militia whackaloons in recent years. On the contrary, they keep quietly scooping them up, along with their warehouses full of AK-47s and their pipe bomb labs.
It’s the librul media which have studiously tenth-paged every one of these victories against terrorism, because the librul media share the teabaggers view that people who blow other people up for political reasons can’t possibly count as “terrorists” unless their skin is brown and their politics is left.
The Feds haven’t had to use the heavy Bush machinery to accomplish these ends, because the whacked-out right is relatively easy to infiltrate. Nearly all the humint they could ever want is, thankfully, right there in the palms of their hands. And if it isn’t, SPLC and ACLU and Simon Wiesenthal are happy to fill in the gaps.
Also, they have a bad tendency to incorrectly address their shipments. At least that is how Krar was caught — he wasn’t even on the Feds radar until he sent a shipment to the wrong house in NJ
