Verbatim Bill "Wrong About Everything" Kristol:
Of course, everyone’s first choice for president in 2012 is Dick Cheney. But Liz Cheney’s boffo performance yesterday in the lefties’ den, MSNBC, defending sensible interrogation policies in the war on terror, surely puts her in contention for the runner-up position.
And if you think this is the stupidest thing they have ever posted over at The Weekly Standard, then you probably forgot that Goldfarb still writes there:
As to the morality of the methods used, I don’t see anything immoral about smacking around a terrorist or making him sit in the cold or dunking him in the water, but you can argue it either way. Still, I wonder why the same people squealing about the alleged moral indignity to which these monsters were subjected are the same people who want the government to keep morality out of their bedrooms and doctors’ offices. Why should the government be forbidden from making a moral judgment about gay marriage or abortion but compelled to make a moral judgment about the treatment of terrorists plotting to murder Americans citizens?
Michael Goldfarb’s parents should ask Princeton for a full refund. Maybe even sue for damages…

Perverted, dirty ass retarded fucking motherfuckers. Should be hunted from helicopters and kicked to death in the streets. Shitbird puswipes.
okay, jdm3, now i’m starting to look forward to your comments a little too much…
Goldfarb: “but you can argue it either way.” Uh, no, Michael, you can’t. That’s the problem with this whole “debate” over torture. It’s not a debate. It’s the law. The law says we can’t. We still did. That was wrong. Someone broke the law. One of your goons. Now, usually you paste-eating fascist wingnuts are all over the whole law-abiding thing (zero tolerance for everything), but in this case, where it was your crack squad of nut squashers and waterboarders that broke the law, you’re instantly going on about “moral judgements” as if the Yoo and the CIA interrogators were trying to decide if they should break up with their girlfriend because she’d danced with that guy from the lacrosse team…
Oh, and Kristol: please, please, please keep promoting any of the Cheney’s for 2012, will you? They’re teh awesome, and everybody loves them. No, really.
OMG! This might even be better than Palin/Jindal. Go, Billy, go!
Finding the stupidest (or most morally repugnant) thing ever written at The Weekly Standard is kind of like searching for the stinkiest turd in the sewage treatment plant.
“…sensible interrogation policies…” Some people just need to be slapped.
By the way, just the other day I nearly bumped into David Frum while getting on the DC subway. A missed slapping opportunity.
Doesn’t Obama still have extraordinary powers of rendition and enemy-combatant-classificatin’, courtesy teh most awesomest Preznit EVAH? Shouldn’t be but a matter of a week to sort all this out — the usual suspects* disappear for a couple of days, and when they return they’ve got the thousand-yard stare and when engaged in their next act of Villager Theatre, they intone in a flat and creepily lifeless tone, “I was wrong, torture is really bad.” Then Obama rescinds those privileges, gives everyone a pardon, and America moves on.
* Because it gives me great pleasure to lock them up in one paragraph: O’Reilly, Hannity, Savage, Levin, Rusty Humphries, Limbaugh (bofum), Hume, Kristol, Will, Goldfarb, Krauthammer, Assrocket, Beck, Scarborough, the Doughy Pantload, Ace of Playdoh, Godlstine, Bozell, Cheney (all the heteros), Bush (43 and his mother), Gonzo, Yoo, Bybee, Addington (184 times), Rove, Boehner (but not the full treatment)… Fuck, I could go on all day.
I despair of trying to argue metaphysics with these tools, but, unless they figure out that torture is wrong not for what it does to the victim but what it does to the torturer, we are stuck with having this argument in perpetuity
Thanks. That really needs to be said over and over. MLK set out to save the soul of white racists as well as liberate his people.
I never thought I’d say this, but I agree with Billy:
Palin/Cheney 2012!
McCain, who experienced it, opposes torture. Goldfarb, when working for McCain’s campaign:
Fails saving throw.
“Michael Goldfarb’s parents should ask Princeton for a full refund. Maybe even sue for damages…”
Damn you, M. Bogg…not only did I spill my drink, but I fell out of my chair, this after having thrown my back out on Thursday. You have set back my recovery considerably. This is intentional infliction of laughter, and I intend to pursue my legal rights!
In the sea of dumb, this gem almost gets lost…
It’s like Betelgeuse watching the Exorcist, it just keep getting funnier…
First choice for Republican nominee, anyway.
That Ivy League cachet has really taken a beating the past 8 years.
And Princeton, in return, should readily agree, on the condition that all records of Michael attending and receiving a degree from their university are destroyed and no one speak of it again. A win-win.
It’s good to see my favorite artwork(Kristol w/pie) back on exhibition. Ever since he was shamed off the NYT op-ed it has been in storage. Kudos, Mr. Curator.
Before Kristol writes another dismissive word about torture, he needs to take this challenge.
Kristol is in kookooland if he thinks Cheney’d have a hope in hell of any political position. We can only hope that boffo mofo is in jail before 2012 serving a long sentence for crimes against humanity, and if that isn’t possible, then dead so the earth can be rid of him.
Where’s the link to the “Cheney in 2012″ PAC?
Even if one accepts that horrendous treatment of horrible people is acceptable, do these creatures still not understand that innocent people were subjected to torture, and, in some cases, killed?
I know a great campaign manager for them. Rand Simberg:

Billy AlwaysWrong needs to know about this genius and make sure he rises up the Repub ladder pronto.
Dad? Is that you?!?
Goldfarb is a GENIUS! Heck, why is the government compelled to make a moral judgment about murder, or theft? Serving diseased rat urine as lemonade? Throwing Christians to lions? All because some goody-goodies think these things are “bad”! Government just needs to get back to governmenting, and leave the moral decision-making to the most qualified people: those who think it’s OK to brutally torture innocent people for nothing but a false sense of security.
Kristol picked Palin. Now he’s picking Mrs. Cheney. I guess thing are working out pretty well for us [chuckle].
Also, every time one of these assholes refers to torture as “slapping around” or some other fratboy term, this picture should flash on the tv screen.
I’m with TheKenoshaKid, Kristol’s endorsement is like the kiss of Death. However, the more people that are ignorant of Billy’s track record, the better the entertainment value.
BTW – why can’t these asshole Cheneys go back to the glorious heartland of Wyoming and leave us alone here on the East Coast? Funny how all the folks wanting to represent Middle America actually want to live on the Chesapeake.
Palin/Cheney (Lynn)? Let’s see if I’ve grasped the wingnut strategy: Run candidates that are so objectionable to the conservatards that most of the religious right stays home on election day 2012, sulking in their Barcaloungers. Then the next day, Faux News can whip them into a frenzy with the breaking story that Barak Obama’s second win is the result of a Librul conspiracy to rig the election.
I didn’t know “The One Percent Doctrine” was Cheney’s plan for approval ratings.
He’ll always have Bobo.
Coincidentally, Dick Cheney is my first choice for GOP nominee in 2012. Or if it’s not him, perhaps he could be draped around the neck of the nominee, like a medallion or a cross or an albatross.
Also, no low blows are to be made at Princeton, which is an excellent institution of higher learning, full of learning, wisdom, erudition, and insufferable douchebags.
Bravo! Substantial older candidates are a republiKKKan tradition. And right on, Tigers! Let’s run Rumsfeld for Veep and call the whole thing “The Reviving The Spirit of Hobey Baker Campaign.” No mean grrlz like Sarah Palin allowed.
PS Sarah would be ever so effective outside pissing into the Big Tent of the GOP.
I forgot about the teabagger that posted about how Phyllis Schafley was at one event talking about the “future” of conservatism.
How about “Cheney/Schafley” PFLAG 2012?
We can only hope that boffo mofo is in jail before 2012 serving a long sentence for crimes against humanity, and if that isn’t possible, then dead so the earth can be rid of him.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Monsieur Cheney knows right now that he’s dying soon. He’s lost a conspicuous amount of weight recently, and knowledge of impending death would certainly help to explain why he’s been so anxious to “set the record straight.”
One shouldn’t hope for anyone’s death, I suppose, but Cheney does seem like a special case. To have him off the scene would be a blessing, never mind the idea that he could be enjoying his just reward. Which for him would be the eternal contemplation of what he hoped would be a noble legacy becoming a heap of dung and ashes, upon which History will ceaselessly piss.
One can’t help but hope there really is such a thing as Hell, y’know?
Oh, there is a hell. But Cheney deserves to spend the rest of eternity sitting on a freaking cloud listening to church Muzak and Jerry Falwell’s sermonizing, in a place where people are too prissy to say f*ck–let alone actually do it!
Dang, I thought you might have been talking about Mary Cheney. You know that they’d be desperate enough to try it, even though most GLBT folk hate Mary for working for her dad’s elections.
Liz Cheney has FIVE children, mostly younger than Palin’s four and her grandson-masquerading-as-a-son, and the other grandson. So that’s a minimum of TEN rosy-cheeked, possibly meth-cranked kids on the RNC stage!
Funny how the IOKIYAR goes double when Republican multiparas go right back to work. They don’t get trashed the way that Democratic mothers who work do. Highly recommended: http://www.palindeception.com/blog.
