Well, this is disappointing. Here I’ve been depending on Tbogg for all my important information about the world at large and how to keep myself safe in it, and now I find out he’s the last fucking person on the planet to discover that Digby is a woman. Her ‘outing’ was done at a big-time blogger conference by Digby her ownself and it was the talk of the town for awhile.

So tell us, Mr. Tbogg Smartass, what else don’t you know about? I’d like a list.

Gonna pick up a copy. And Tbogg, since you have wallowed in the muck more than anyone, perhaps you should be the one to document the right side of this equation. I would call it “Bloggers on the Shorty Bus”.

Actually I was the third person to know Digby was a woman (after Jane Hamsher and Mr. Digby, of course). When Jane finally convinced Digby to have lunch, Jane called and invited me to come up to Santa Monica to join them.

That’s not in the book.

I am an older person, and sometimes when I’m really busy I miss the dry wit completely and make an ass of myself. I should never have doubted you were on the very deepest levels of the inside of the great blogiverse.

Jane Hamsher was the first to out Digby, writing about that lunch and clumsily using the pronoun “she”.

There’s a whole chapter on the Alaskan bloggers called “Saradise Lost.” I think we all could have done without Sarah Palin, thankyouverymuch, but on the other hand, she turned Shannyn Moore into a STAR!

If you don’t buy a copy for yourself, you should consider buying copies for your friends so they’ll understand why you spend so much time reading blogs while they’re looking at porn stealing office supplies from work having sordid affairs twittering under the name KanyeWestForReals spending time with their families. and enjoying God’s creation.

That may indeed be the best reason. Nobody in my family understands.
