Mocking Michael J. Fox’s illness was just “poking fun” or “highlighting absurdities of character.” If you are an enormous leaking bag of diarrhea like Rush, this is clever political satire.

(That wasn’t an attack, it was “poking fun.”)

I listen to the show regularly. He certainly pokes fun at some of them, but he highlights absurdities of character, etc. in pointing out the fallacies of positions on the left.

So when you call the future POTUS a magic negro, is that a fun poking, absurdity highlight, or fallacy of the left? Looking for clarity from the right is like sifting through sand for broken glass.

It’s fair for Rush to attack people with disabilities, visible minorities, and well, just about everyone who doesn’t agree with an obese, oxycontin-addicted, right wing viagra swallowing shitbag who travels to the third world for sex with minors talk show host. I mean, who wouldn’t want to live up to Rush Limbaugh’s role model of a man?

Lismbaugh’s mocking of a stricken man like Michael J. Fox was a real low point in a career filled with nothing but low points.

Let’s see, the Republicans have to run Colin Powell, Charlie Crist and Tom Ridge out of the party now. Pretty soon one will have to apply for admission to the Republican Party like Stanford or Harvard. The application will have a series of boxes to check and you better get every single one right, or else…rejected.

It is not [teh liberalses] task, it is not their right to remake this nation to accommodate their psychology. I sometimes wonder if liberalism is not just a psychosis or a psychology, not an ideology. It’s so much about feelings, and the predominant feeling that liberalism is about is about feeling good about themselves and they do that by telling themselves they have all this compassion. You know, if you really want to unhinge a liberal it’s hard to do because they’re so unhinged now anyway, even after — but all you have to do is say you know that the things you people do, the things you people believe in are cruel. That’s the last way they look at themselves. They are the best people on the — they’re the good people. You tell them that their ideas and that their policies are cruel and the eggs start scrambling. I have learned how to tweak liberals everywhere. I do it instinctively now. Tweak them in the media. And no reason to be afraid of these people. Why in the world would you be afraid of the deranged?

You know, like he “tweaked” thirteen year old Chelsea Clinton about being a dog.

of course, it’s Rush, so by “tweak” he could mean “consume methamphetamine with” (although that’s traditionally more of a red state thing)

I have been attacked by Rush Limbaugh on the air, an experience somewhat akin to being gummed by a newt. It doesn’t actually hurt, but it leaves you with slimy stuff on your ankle.

The kind of humor Limbaugh uses troubles me deeply, because I have spent much of my professional life making fun of politicians. I believe it is a great American tradition and should be encouraged. We should all laugh more at our elected officials–it’s good for us and good for them. So what right do I have to object because Limbaugh makes fun of different pols than I do?

I object because he consistently targets dead people, little girls, and the homeless–none of whom are in a particularly good position to answer back.

On his TV show, early in the Clinton administration, Limbaugh put up a picture of Socks, the White House cat, and asked, “Did you know there’s a White House dog?” Then he put up a picture of Chelsea Clinton, who was 13 years old at the time and as far as I know had never done any harm to anyone.

When viewers objected, he claimed, in typical Limbaugh fashion, that the gag was an accident and that without his permission some technician had put up the picture of Chelsea–which I found as disgusting as his original attempt at humor.

Limbaugh specializes in ad hominem arguments, which are themselves ridiculously easy to expose. Ted Kennedy says, “America needs health care reform.” Limbaugh replies, “Ted Kennedy is fat.”

Rush Limbaugh’s pathetic abuse of logic, his absurd pomposity, his relentless self-promotion, his ridiculous ego–now those, friends, are appropriate targets for satire.
