I don’t believe people wouldn’t think any less of back-stabbing douche Roger Simon if he gave up his occasional blogging and just went back to CEO’ing his media empire nose-down into the Mariana Trench.
Until then, we get this:
Obama and “I” word
What scares me most about Barack Obama is the narcissism/megalomania. It’s a consistent theme throughout his life with which I (first introduction of the “I” word) could bore you to death. But it jumped out at me this morning again from the top of the Drudge Report – “Obama Says We’re Out of Money”. Quoth the President:
-"Well, you know – look we are trying to help an auto industry that is going through a combination of bad decision making over many years and an unprecedented crisis or at least a crisis we haven’t seen since the 1930’s. And you know the economy is going to bounce back and we want to get out of the business of helping auto companies as quickly as we can. I have got more enough to do without that. In the same way that I want to get out of the business of helping banks, but we have to make some strategic decisions about strategic industries…"
It’s I…I…I… Wouldn’t it be more reasonable, simpler, to say “The government shouldn’t be in the business of helping banks, auto companies, etc.”?
Let’s back up and look at that quote again.
Well, you know – look we are trying to help an auto industry that is going through a combination of bad decision making over many years and an unprecedented crisis or at least a crisis we haven’t seen since the 1930’s. And you know the economy is going to bounce back and we want to get out of the business of helping auto companies as quickly as we can. I have got more enough to do without that. In the same way that I want to get out of the business of helping banks, but we have to make some strategic decisions about strategic industries…
Okay. One more time.
Next up: President The Emperor Jones Obama uses the royal "we" far too much, the narcissistic bastard…

What would make Roger Simon happy is the complete elimination of personal pronouns in the executive branch.
Sorry to be pedantic but shouldn’t that be “Obama and THE “I” Word”?
He also tends to throw that second person accusative around WAY too much for the touchy-feely psychologists who think it might negatively impact the self-esteem of Cheeto-munching, basement-dwelling, wingnut wankers.
Shorter Roger Simon:
“We got nothin on this guy. It was so easy to bring that philandering Clinton down, but Obama …… we. got. nothin. We screamed about the mustard, the teleprompter, Michelle daring to bare her arms, what a narcissistic bastard he is, and the guy still has a 63% approval rating! WTF? What’s a wingnut to do?”
Damned ungrateful negro. Don’t you know Roger sat on his ass in a library for a few weeks in the 60’s for you? And this is how you repay him?
Last time I looked, the president is constitutionally mandated to have certain rights and responsibilities. And the constitution is the law that trumps all other laws. And the constitution begins “we the people…”. The people are by definition the government. Obama is being correct and reminding us of the stake we have in this at the same time. And all Mr. Simon has is a daddy complex and the certain knowledge that the day Paul Mazursky hooked up with him was the day Mazursky’s otherwise very good career went in the toilet.
Roger Simon would have to reinvent the meaning of a word that better describes his favourite guy
Geez, from the title, I thought you were talking about Richard Cohen.
Well, shit on ‘em both, goddam fucking misfit sociopath privileged ass licking slime that they are.
How about a rewrite into pretentious upper-crustese:
Happy now, Roger?
Well, it’s just that Obama seems so imperial in contrast to that humble self-effacing guy he replaced.
…the Deciderer.
“President The Emperor Jones Obama”
Eugene O’Neill in tha house!
Roger is scared about this and you aren’t taking him seriously. A guy who lives and occasionally works in Hollywood is scared by narcissism/megalomania?
Sheesh.
