Noted Socialist Negro Barack Obama selects Sonia Sotomayer to assist him in aborting more babies faster, and so the legal ninjas at National Review’s Bench Memos deploy Constitutional Law and Duran Duran Fanfic expert Kathryn Jean Lopez to lead the oppositional charge (here here here and here).
Lopez was the obvious suicide-bomber choice because she’s Mexican (or close to it) and a woman (or close to it) and that nips that nasty old racism and sexism canard in the bud. Later Lopez will point out that what the Supreme Court really needs is a white Catholic man who opposes abortion; someone in the mold of Scalia, Roberts, and Alito.
You know, like the Pope but with less empathy.
Obviously, with opposition coming from the National Review, Sotomayer’s nomination is DOA because the people at National Review are like the most influential people in the universe.

I unhappily await “West Side Story” analogies, once wingers learn that Judge Sotomayor is of Puerto Rican descent, from the Bronx. (They will begin with something tasteful, like, “Hai like to be in Ah-mer-ee-ca/Okay by me in Ah-mer-ee-ca…”) Will they note that she was appointed to the federal bench by noted socialist GHWB?
Drudge has about 30% of his page devoted to trashing Sotomayor, which tells me that Kaliphate Kommander HuSSein Obama X made a great choice. Thanks, Mr. O!
