I understand the situation. We have two small dogs, a Maltese and a Schnoodle. When they’re out for a walk, if the Schnoodle sees anything or anyone, he immediately starts his “tough” bark, because he’s a big chicken. The Maltese then starts barking and snapping at the Schnoodle, as if to say, “shut up! You’re embarrassing me!” It’s quite a racket, and impresses all of the bystanders.

You know what you really need? Another dog.

You want pain in the ass? Come to my house today. My neighbor is having a garage sale, which requires my mutts (dachso-beagle and greyhound-who knows?) to go outside and bark every fourteen seconds at cars, little old ladies, kids in strollers, etc.

I think so too!! Beckham would be thrilled if Fenway had another subject on which to focus his eternal need for attention and interaction. If Fenway is not asleep, he is in motion. On the other hand, the addition of another beastie might not only launch divorce proceedings between the Tboggs, it would likely send the L&T Casey back to Hawaii permanently. I think Beckham and I will have to live with status quo for awhile.
