Politico, seeking to win the day on the internets, gives space to rejected loser Rick Santorum who explains why he would "just say no" to Sotomayor if voters in Pennsylvania hadn’t already told him to go eat a bag of dicks:
Senate Republicans should do a thorough examination of Sotomayor’s judicial record: Why does she have such a high reversal rate by the Supreme Court? Are there other decisions like the infamous New Haven firefighters discrimination case that would disqualify her?
Her out-of-court statements about her judicial philosophy have been rightfully making news, including her claim that the appeals court is “where policy is made.”
Or her statement that “a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”
Bias, elitism, the politics of separating people into classes and racial and ethnic pigeonholes are not what one would expect from a nominee of a president who promised to get us past that.
While Santorum adds nothing new that we haven’t read in a million Townhall columns last week, it’s interesting to see Politico creating a whole new genre in reporting: Political Fantasy FanFic. I look forward to John Bolton’s Places I Would Bomb the Holy Shit Out Of and Mark Foley’s My Dream Date With Zac Efron.
It’s like Make-A-Wish for the politically terminal.

This makes Norm “What I’ll Do When The Supreme Court Seats Me” Coleman seem almost realistic by comparison. Almost.
Heh. Santorum and Coleman can get together in Rick’s living room and make speeches against Sotomayor and then have a make-believe Senate vote. Then send out a press release and pretend that anyone still gives a flying fuck about what these losers think.
I found the unedited version. You’re welcome.
Sweet Jeebus, is that REALLY the fruit of his loins in the pic?
Teh Lord doth have a sense of humor, no?
Well, he was passing the time with his daughter*’s dolls, but even they won’t talk to him any more, so he had to downgrade to Politico.
*And hopefully she’s now in the throes of puberty and is giving him all the love and fond regard that he deserves for dragging her out and sticking her in front of him for that picture.
Rick “Man on Doll” Santorum
Gah!
I never get tired of that picture, which makes me a bad person I guess. So let me just say that I agree with HalloweenJack and hope Ricky’s daughter is making his life a living hell.

Another good picture!
Mr. TBogg, your optometrist called. She’s worried the tint on your latest prescription may be too intense. She references the “bag of dicks” thing as objects in your glasses appearing “not really there.” You may have Hunter Thompson’s prescription.
Good stuff!
That picture always fascinates me. I can’t tell which of the Santorites is the unhappiest. The crying/praying daughter, bug-eyed ritalin juiced son, or the girl in the back who looks like she would rather be getting a root canal. Possibly the wife-with-half-a-face lift?
I was just going to say this. It’s one of those that never gets old. The Anchor Baby’s Sneer and World’s-Wrongest-Man getting a pie in the face are others. And KKKarl with the fig leaf altho it’s not for reals and kind of makes me nauseous.

I feel sorry for those kids, all of them. The boy had better be home schooled as he’;s the type that’d get beat up every damn day at lunch by everybody from the chess club on up. Frankly, none of those poor kids had a chance at hell at growing up normal with those two freakshoe (or freepshow) parents…
and yet on 4/17 . . .
Former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania told a Republican lawyers group Friday their party should take the filibuster off the table as an option against President Obama’s judicial nominations.

A couple of things Santorum, one, you got your ass handed to you by Pa voters for a good reason. That is you are an asshole. Second, getting reversed by a Roberts court is a badge of honor. I would put one in her ear personally if she was in accord with them.
And by the way the reason the daughter is crying is because Rick threatened to sell her into slavery in Yemen if she didn’t behave. Did I mention you are an asshole?
1. I, too, feel sorry for those kids. Santorum is an ass, but that’s not the fault of the kids.
2. Gun safety rule Number 1: Every gun is loaded. Always.
That picture is a perfect example of the vagaries of genetics and aesthetics. The girls look more like their father, which, albeit passable on him, doesn’t translate well in the feminine versions. The boy looks more like his mother, which for a tween, doesn’t bode well.
I know we’re not supposed to dump on the kids, or anyone’s appearance, but the truth is the truth.

Did you catch the caption in the Politico link? “In an ideas piece” Rick Santorum’s ass hurts……
I can not state often enough how wonderful it was to help vote Ricky out of office.
That said, the kids have been home schooled for years (that was a campaign issue). If anyone will cause agita in the near term, it’s probably not the little girl in the front, but the young teen just behind mom. Bristol Santorum?
Whenever I see that picture, I say, “Hahahahaha!!!!”
Then I feel bad for laughing at the kid.
Then I look at the picture again.
It’s endless.
That girl isn’t crying. She’s busy thanking Christ that her ordeal is over. The same is true of the boy, though I’m less sure about him. Let’s face it, nobody is too sure about him.
I look forward to John Bolton’s “Places I Would Bomb the Holy Shit Out Of” and Mark Foley’s “My Dream Date With Zac Efron.”
Yeah, and Dick Cheney’s, “Obama’s Continuing My WOT Policies, With Indefinite Detention!!!11!!1!”
Oh, wait.
Late to this party, but I hope TBogg saw this (really, you’d have to be dead under a rock in San Diego to not have seen or heard of it):

In the firefighters’ case, Sotomayor upheld existing law rather than overturning it. The opposite of “activist”. I know, I know, it’s useless to point that out to them.
