For future reference, "I was sitting in front of my computer masturbating to that Farah Fawcett poster" is not a good answer when someone asks you where you were when you heard Michael Jackson died.
Unless you’re Michael Jackson, in which case it probably couldn’t hurt….

Damn, you have been in fine form lately.
Was there ever a celebrity who awakened the sexual feelings of so many young boys?
Farrah did too.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. (Rim-Shot)
BTW. I don’t recall her nipples being so prominent in the original poster.
I do.
Please note that the photo in this post is a signed copy of the famous poster. Tbogg, is this from your personal collection?
That’s the only thing I remembered.
Guess I shouldnt have bought mine from that Catholic bookstore.
Hell, just google her and look at the images. Farrah had the largest nipples I’ve ever seen on a human being.
Creepiest/funniest thing this week is this Globe and Mail comment thread over Farrah Fawcett. Fights and one upmanship broke out in the thread, all because of that poster.
Can guys be any more weirdly wired and messed up? Some things we just don’t want to know about you all.
I hate to be a sadly butchered Latin phrase, but modeling for that poster was not an eleemosynary gesture for you youngsters.
Are you kidding? It was the first time most of us of a certain age had ever seen nipples trying to poke their way through clothing.
That post sux man – it was Jackson’s closeted self-loathing homosexuality, and his fear of rejection by fans and family that killed him. It destroyed his face, turned half his dance routine into crotch-grabs and yelps, and it sent him into a series of pathetic fake marriages. All of that was better than coming out.
Unless one owns a pair and used to worry about them showing and people… looking [cue spooky music]…
I’m using this. It’s so much better than, “Hey, it’s a guy thing.”
You should have seen them in the Playboy spread… Monkey Nipples.
It’s becoming fuzzy in my dope-addled memory, but I believe this one beat Farrah’s poster by a year or three:

This — *this!* — was the image that taught me that women do, in fact, at least occasionally possess nipples. Farrah was simply confirmation.
Um, gay guys like other guys; Jackson had a thing for the seriously underaged male, which is a little more than just being in the closet and whole lot more into pedophile-pervert territory.
Unless of course you subscribe to the RW Christianist maxim that all gays are pervs, child molesters, and generally not fit for polite company. For the record, I disagree with all those statements; dsidhe said it best in the comments over at Rising Hegemon.
i would imagine a lot of posters were constantly being replaced back in the 70s due to “over use”
Where did Rich Lowry post what he was doing when he got the news? At the office?
When I found out about his death, I was on fark.com. Which is not a lot more dignified than rubbing one out.
Those darn monks. That word has Greek written all over it. From eleew, to have pity.
I think that Farrah was looking to beat this: http://images.amazon.com/image…..ZZZZZ_.jpg
Someone’s been reading his AWAD emails…
CS, go back one post…
Whoa – “eleemosynary” was the Word A Day for 6/19 (see here). Coincidence? I think not…
(In any event, I gotta read more comments, apparently…)
