Bill Kristol was teaching at the Kennedy School and gave brown bag lunch talk. I arrived early and the person who makes sure the brown bags run well told me, “Don’t be too hard on poor Bill.” I was surprised. I ask somewhat uncomfortable questions but don’t go out of my way to insult people and if Kristol can’t handle a guy from Central Square what is doing trying to play pundit.

Even at “liberal” Harvard, Billie the K is protected from the riff raff like me.

PS: I didn’t ask Kristol a public question but did try to engage him afterwards. He’s shaped like a potato and gives me the impression that he has absolutely no physical practice - a sport or a hobby that involves hand to eye coordination or his actual muscles. I asked him about that and he had absolutely no idea what I was driving at. Might have intimidated him as he was sitting down in an empty room and I was standing up next to him.

Saw him teach once while he was at Harvard. Wasn’t impressed. His subject was the greatness of Rudy G, before Rudy flamed out in the primaries.

If there is anything I dislike about ”The Daily Show”, it’s this: not only do they keep having the supercilious twat Kristol on, but Jon Stewart gives every indication that he actually enjoys having Kristol on.

Even though I dont care for Kristol or McCain all that much, I’ts a bit unfair to compare the McCain campaign of 1999 to 2008. Last years version of McCain acted like he was seriously brain damaged, most likely from a lack of oxygen from having his head up Bushes and the collective Republican parties ass for the past four years.

One thing I find startling about Kristol is how few self-proclaimed conservatives realize exactly how Billy-boy came to such prominence. Most seem to think he rose through the ranks by virtue of a quick mind and brilliant ideas. They have no clue that, had it not been for his daddy’s career, little Billy would probably be living in trailer park, trying to survive by cashing in beer cans.

All true enough, but when Kristol disappears up his own butt like the Oozelum Bird, will it really matter? Will the Dems join the Chordata? Will Obama actually support, promote and defend the Constitution? Perhaps JDM3 can give me some hints on a new pseudonym that accurately reflects my feelings.
