Goldfarb’s disgustingly sexist reference to Palin’s “pole position” needs to be denounced by right-thinking conservatives everywhere.

In the high-larry-us world of mixed metaphors, Goldfarb et al. are hitching their wagons to a sinking ship, and it never, ever gets old.

I don’t give a shit about Goldfarb one way or another but lets face facts on Steele.

I would say that he has such an overwhelmingly overly inflated sense of his importance that it puts to shame bursting tight baloons world-wide. Even reasonbly powerful RNC chairs don’t ‘groom’ Presidential candidates, that decision is made far above their paygrade by a combination of the top electeds and the paymasters for the party, you know the guys that pay the bills to keep the lights on in Steele’s office. This goes double when you are the compromise choice after multiple rounds of voting.

Steele is a lackey who doesn’t seem to know his place. And you can bet that in their private thoughts and private meetings some of the real movers and shakers of the party have a more apt name that they dare not utter publicly.

While I am not a big fan of J.C. Watts, at least he had the self-awareness to see exactly how he was being used by the GOP and knew enough to step away from the game.
