I have read Shirer and I lived through the Stalin era and Sputnik.

And haven’t picked up any clues from that experience, evidently. Just do what you’re told, and you’ll be A-OK. I promise!

If Mangini wants to have fun, he swaps Quinn and Andersen depending on the defense of the day, keeps working on building the running game, and trades or buys a veteran at cornerback to teach the rookies. All probably irrelevant at the end of the day, because two of the toughest defensive squads in the NFL reside in Pittsburgh and Baltimore. The road to the SB runs through the AFC North, sadly avoiding a good stretch of I-90 west of Erie. Again.

I have read Shirer and I lived through the Stalin era and Sputnik. Obama is just like them with his ACORN brownshirts, his SEIU thugs, and his threats against Glenn, Sean, Rush, and Bill O’Reilly. The only difference is that Obama is an extreme anti-Nationalist, against America, and for world Islamo-Fascism, a hateful anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-Liberty ideology that would take from the producers and give to the looters.

Don’t you mean Mexican Flu? One more slip like that and they will kick you out of the Glen Beck Fan Club - then you’ll have to send the blow up doll back. Where will you be then? Alone.

It is really hard to believe that you two people are old timers. Didn’t you pick up a shred of an idea of what a fascist or a Nazi really was? What in the hell resemblence do you see between a popularly elected leader who puts forwards proposals to a legislature that seek to implement the plans he advocated when running for office? Have you ever read a single history of the rise of fascism? What exactly are you calling fascism? Fascists were extreme nationalists, who blamed everything they didn’t like on some outside group, organized to create violence at any political gathering to disrupt any discussion of real issues, pray upon the fear and hatred of of people. Really, what grade did you complete?

That’s possible, I guess. If enough folks find the critter somehow entertaining (I ain’t one of ‘em, fwiw), then by all means, let it keep on doing its thing. I have a scroll wheel, and ain’t afraid of using it!

If this DLoerke (de-lurk?) and his/her sockpuppet(s) had any contrary but informative input,* s/he would have offered it by now. As it is, s/he is just throwing sh*t against the wall to see what will stick - or more aptly, to see what gets a reaction. [I plead guilty myself, as shown in comments in an earlier post.] This is pretty much typical troll behavior.

Taking respectful exception to ART45’s opinion @71, IMHO a banning is warranted, since nothing is gained by allowing this individual access to the comments. Just my opinion, obviously, but it’s based on reading this person’s tripe; absence of links to reputable sources is only one clue as to his/her lack of thoughtfulness and good intentions. No logical thought process is in evidence either. That’s not a commenter crime, but it should be, dammit, unless you can offer wit or entertainment in place of logic.

*Thoughtful public non-lefties are increasingly rare and marginalized by “their own”, but they do exist, e.g., conservative Conor Friedersdorf and libertarian Julian Sanchez.
