scientists and engineers to help spread their hateful philosophies around
the world. And just like them, Obama wants our kids to learn math and
science.

How much longer we will Americans put up with this? Until none of us can
read, write, or perform simple arithmetic, all of us are in chains! We
must fight this menace of literacy! All true patriots who believe in the
greatness of America should immediately withdraw their children from
school. Letting Johnny and Sally learn to read and write puts them on the
road to serfdom–just like President Obama-Stalinitler wants!

I have to say, though, the asshat is right. I was raised in a very Christian family (though socially liberal), and I was pretty conservative in action until I went to a Christian college with only 8% minorities. Then, I realized what a crock of shit I had been fed, and I bypassed liberal and went straight to motherfucking progressive. So, college did change me–how ironic that it was a Lutheran college turning me off to Christianity and conservatism.

P.S. I will have to say, the furor over this speech was an eye-opener for my brother, who voted for W. both times (but for Obama this time). He just couldn’t understand why anyone would want to censor the president, who was merely saying that kids should stay in school and study hard. So, maybe we’ve reached the tipping point of sheer batshitcrazystupidity. One can only hope.
