Recess at Barack Obama Elementary as children prepare to play “Get Whitey”
Fresh off their recent shit-losing because President Kenyatta McMuslim was going to instruct their children in the dark satanic arts of unAmerican activities (stay in school, work hard, be responsible), today conservatives are once again losing their shit because…well, whaddya got? He must have done something. Like continue to be black.Or…oh, here we go:
Some parents in a New Jersey school district are up in arms after a class of elementary school students was videotaped singing the praises of President Obama, an activity that has been criticized as "indoctrination."
The tension at B. Bernice Young Elementary School escalated to such a degree Thursday that the school was placed temporarily on lockdown after its principal received death threats over a YouTube video that showed nearly 20 children being taught songs lauding the president, though back-to-school night events continuing as planned Thursday night at the school.
You see, it is Barack Obama’s fault that normally calm and sensible, God-fearing, mini-van driving, McDonalds-eating-at Americans are compelled to call elementary schools and issue death threats.Shame shame bad black man.
So like, what up with that video?:
Video of the students at the Burlington, N.J., school shows them singing songs seemingly overflowing with campaign slogans and praise for "Barack Hussein Obama," repeatedly chanting the president’s name and celebrating his accomplishments, including his "great plans" to "make this country’s economy No. 1 again."

"I’m stunned — I can’t believe it’s our school," said Jim Pronchik, who told FOXNews.com his 8-year-old son Jimmy was one of the 18 students in the video. "We don’t want to praise this guy like he’s a god or an idol or a king or anything like that. That’s the wrong message to be sending."
Pronchik said he and his wife were never informed about the lesson, which the superintendent of Burlington Township schools says was held in February as part of Black History Month "to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country."
Whoa! Black History Month! Isn’t it enough that they are soiling our White House, must they also car-jack a whole month?
I could post the horrifying video, but it’s just a bunch kids kind of mumbling and flailing about like second graders (and Jonah Goldberg at at rave) are apt to do. Fortunately Gateway Pundit Jim Hoft, who normally stays a minimum of a 1000 feet from elementary schools, took time out from manscaping himself to transcribe the blaphemous lyrics from the video.

Outside of a possible copyright infringement suit from the Crash Test Dummies over all of that Mmm-mmm-mmming I can see why Conservatives might be upset over the "make America strong, everyone is equal and deserves equal treatment" hoo-hah which sounds just like Communism.
Or socialism.
Or Nazisim.
One of those. It’s really hard to keep up these days.

Second, when the next Republican president comes along, it’s going to serve as excellent ammunition against the inevitable cult of personality the GOP will try to enforce (like they did with Bush, although he was sooooo shitty as prez that no sentient being was fooled).

Today at the White House Easter Egg Roll, dozens of children “from the stricken Gulf Coast region serenaded First Lady Laura Bush with a song praising the beleaguered Federal Emergency Management Agency.” To the tune of “Hey Look Me Over,” the kids from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama sang:

I’m just wondering, what with the Ammo shortage, if we start making bullets with Obama, say doing a fist bump engraved on them, what would happen to the wingnuts. I would hope for some sort of complete freeze fof the brain – “Must buy ammo, can’t buy ammo”

I will gladly lend a hand, even two. One of my FB friends had this posted to her wall and was disgusted by it (not a fan of our prez, and soon not to be a friend of mine). Really? I can’t even scrap up feeble indignation at teh stoopids because I have reached outrage at the poutrage fatigue. Ooooh, teaching kids that we’re all equal is bad. Boogedy-boo!

Conservatives have indeed lost their minds, as they are likely claim to find evidence of a communist-nazi president in school lunch menus.
But this was a very stupid thing that someone did with these kids (unless the kids wrote the song and wanted to do it on their own, which I doubt). No, this isn’t evidence of some Obama plan to indoctrinate, but it is evidence of a similar cult of personality that I saw with Bush and Reagan–people who believed what Bush or Reagan said simply because Bush or Reagan said it.
It’s one thing to be inspired by Obama and to sing about working hard, etc. but to have kids sing about Obama saying these things? Even as a fervent supporter of much of Obama’s work, what some adult did here was misguided.

Obviously there’s been overreaction to this video and death threats are not called for. That said, that video is creepy. That kids were being taught to praise Obama (not honor, praise) is not right either. And no, a song about Katrina that mentions Bush is not the same thing as a song practically worshiping Obama – “He said Red, Yellow, Black or White, All are equal in his sight” is practically stolen from “Jesus Loves the Little Children”. Changing the lyrics to a Jesus song to be about Obama is creepy.
