Obviously there’s been overreaction to this video and death threats are not called for. That said, that video is creepy. That kids were being taught to praise Obama (not honor, praise) is not right either. And no, a song about Katrina that mentions Bush is not the same thing as a song practically worshiping Obama – “He said Red, Yellow, Black or White, All are equal in his sight” is practically stolen from “Jesus Loves the Little Children”. Changing the lyrics to a Jesus song to be about Obama is creepy.

Jesus creeping shit, perhaps if we began referring to Obama as “Our Glorious Leader” instead of president, it would drive the conservatives so batshit they would go lemminglike over the cliff and we wouldn’t have to worry about their crap anymore.

Michelle Malkin already calls him “Dear Leader” pretty much every day.

Next we will have Barack Hussein Obamas face photoshopped over Mao, holding a little red book.

Uhm, no. They’d much prefer that our tax dollars be spent imposing that curriculum on all our kids in our public schools. That would be complete with colorful 10 Commandments posters, corporal punishment, rote learning of Glenn Beck diatribes, mandatory morning prayers, and a life-size St. Malkin sculpture in the court yard. From the Burlington County (PA) Times (Where this school resides):

The district drew the ire of several conservative groups in 2007, when it hosted a police and emergency drill at the high school that involved fictional members of an armed “right wing fundamentalist group.”

The fictional scenario did not specify any religion, but many believed it described the school invaders as conservative Christians.

Conservative groups and bloggers from across the nation learned about the drill and leveled criticism at the police and school district. Fox News also aired commentary about the event.
