What will annoy me though is all the victory trumpeting they’ll do if the GOP wins. The dems haven’t won that district in 140 years so its not really that impressive. On the plus side, maybe it’ll inspire them to run this tactic all across the country. That will be a great thing for Democrats.

Oh, but the same people who are cheering for Hoffman are attacking Daggett. Rick Santorum had a piece on NRO over the weekend allowing as how the shining example of the Hoffman insurgency taking out the unpopular major party candidate showed that Daggett should drop out and leave Christie alone, Palin used one of her precious tweets to call him a liar and tell him to drop out (despite Christie publicly telling her to stay away, because nobody in Jersey gives a shit about her), and Giuliani, who Christie tried to keep isolated to the shore region, is trying to start a public feud with Daggett in the press.

Which is kind of awesome, because there’s nothing the lace-curtain burghers of north Jersey love more than vulgar people from out of state telling them what to do.

Thanks to Hoffman, an actual Republican WILL NOT win New York’s 23rd District for the first time since 1854 – since there was a GOP party to vote for.

It will be centrist Dem vs. carpetbagger (mostly funded by outside groups) up here on Tuesday. It’ll be fun being an election inspector tomorrow.

I’m usually not a huge Rahm fan, but the McHugh appointment has been chock full o’ win.
