Of course, pointing out that Friedman and Hayek did not agree about very central aspects of macroeconomics might suggest that its not liberals that need a little more education.

I think educated people call this kind of thing “projection.”

Empathy is reserved for those who are worthy of it, like Godlstein, and similar ubermenschen. The rest of us – you know, the ones who support universal health care, and who want government to do what it can to help relieve the misery of those in need – are like psychopaths who would take advantage of any empathy shown to us. Second, way down in the post, after all the b.s. about why liberals might not have empathy for conservatives (hey, uh–what about we just plain DISAGREE with you?), she advises her readers not to risk showing any empathy for liberals because they’ll just take advantage (like psychopaths).

Third – just for grins, I clicked NO on the ad that popped up there, “Repeal the Health Care bill: Yes or No.”
Surprise – when I clicked No, I got a page to complete my info, all of which was entirely predicated on the assumption of a “Yes” answer. IOW, No “NO” answers will be counted.
I am shocked, shocked.
