Wembley will be five months old this coming Tuesday and he is a well proportioned five-month-old at twenty-nine pounds. He’s gonna be a big’un.

That is one handsome, if stern, countenance.
Truly an amazing hound.
nice cankles!
Hey, he’s got really big ears. Is this normal?
Mate, those aren’t feet, they’re swim fins, and he’s got ears like Dumbo. He’s like the flying spaghetti monster of Houndsville.
Five months! Looking forward to him growing into those feet and ears.
Adorable boy. Has learned well how to pose, hasn’t he?
I’m just glad I don’t have to feed him.
He doesn’t even look like a puppeh.
He really is good looking dog with oak tree trunks for legs. He is going to be so huge. I hope you you’re upper body fit in the event there is a need to carry him.
Twenty-nine pounds…twenty of which are resting in his latke front paws.
But he’s a beautiful boy.
Mazel Tov.
Wembles is sumptuous. He looks very dignified. You can tell he’s one of the elite bassets.
I think we’ll have to call him Prince Wembley and bow in his presence.
How can a 5-month-old pup have perfected such a superior (i.e., not-goofy) expression?
Goooooorgeous! But, not to be a brat or anything, I would love a pic of Fenway, too.
I am such a sucker for his beautiful long ears. And this photo also brings into prominence his dewlap-y throat area–I also like this.
He’s perfecting his Serious Face already.
Wembley makes me feel ever-so-slightly-guilty with that look… It’s as if he’s saying “CATS? You have CATS when you could have a superior being such as myself? Philistine.” And part of me almost agrees with him! He’s a wonder.
It’s my understanding that Sunday night puppy blogging is devoted to Wembley’s puppyhood. Thursday night basset blogging features both boys.
Alas, soon Wembley will be grown and we’ll have to petition TBogg using our best TBagging techniques to keep Sunday night puppy blogging going. You can’t deal this drug without creating addicts!
