Hey guys. Sorry I’m late joining this particular party, but the Joe Lieberman/Mitt Romney Fanfic Meetup at the Barrington Motel 6 was a little more … how to put this … involved than anyone really thought it would be, and I couldn’t leave before the interactive panel on S&M themes in the 2012 election cycle.
There was a slideshow. You should have been there. It was epic.
I’m Athenae, I’ve been writing over at First Draft for seven years now, mostly about the newspaper “crisis,” college hockey, my three ferrets, science fiction TV, John Kerry and, lately, pelicans covered in sludge. My partners Adrastos and Jude and the regular guests cover actual news and inspire action. I mostly look for stories to which I can append the word “motherfucker.”
In any case, looking forward to hanging here a while. Tbogg mentioned something about a free round of shots for every 1,000 clicks, and he wouldn’t kid around, right?

You’re telling me. A ‘shipping war broke out between the LieberRomney diehards and some Romney/Huckabee supporters who managed to infiltrate the place, and it got pretty out of hand before the mods shut it down.
