Shorter Kirstin Powers:
Wednesday night President Obama spent waaaay too much time talking about people who got shot and asking Americans to be more civil and stuff like that, when he should have talking about the real victims of the Tucson shooting: Sarah Palin and conservatives.
I think someone is going to find a little something extra in her paycheck from Roger Ailes next week and it’s not going to be Bill O’Reilly’s falafel this time.

Wow, I clicked over, against my better judgement. And after her first volley against Obama, Sarah WAS the first name Powers mentioned. For her, and her ilk, it really is all about Sarah.
Oh, it’s getting better. The Washington Times now thinks there is a “pogrom” against conservatives…yeah, I vividly remember when the mounted raiders brutalized the little shtetl of Washington, DC…never forget! Never forget that the “modern conservative movement” now has absolutely no shame about anything. I want so hard to take the President’s suggestion that we be civil in our dealing with each other, but it’s so damned hard.

Yeah. That’s what I keep hearing.
I’m clicking thru again… my bad. My favorite from the Washington Times op-ed you linked to:
“The last two years have seen a proliferation of similar baseless charges of racism, sexism, bigotry, Islamophobia…”
Baseless? These charges are in no way baseless.
Kirstin, how can we stop talking about it if you and your friends keep bringing it up?
Indeed, we also cannot stop talking about it, unless we are talking about it. So carry on, it’s all part of the great eternal plan.
Next I guess conservatives will be talking about what a “holocaust” this whole thing has been to them.
Sheesh. Don’t they know when to shut up? (Moot question.)
Maybe it’s the dark matter version of ‘both sides do it’ — since charges going right to left would be baseless, it’s gotta balance out, QED!
And now $arah’s giving the keynote at a gun convention. A fucking GUN convention.
It’s like talking about violence in America is working for them. Heh, ya think?!
And somehow Obama is supposed to shut it down? But then they’d be all, “Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I’m being repressed!”
All right thinking people knew that after the Sharia law appointment of all those czars pogroms could not be far behind. And you know who else launched pogroms? Hitler!
Also. Too.
Ugh. Despite normally liking TBogg’s warped sense of visual humor, this one makes me ill. Must be my wussy liberal sensibilities.
Can we take up a collection and send the Washington Times a Roget’s Thesaurus? It’s very clear that either they don’t have one or it’s being used to level the desk in the janitor’s closet.
It’s not meant to be humorous. It’s meant to be a sign at Palin rallies.
Wasn’t Powers’ whole deal that she was Faux Noise female equivalent of Alan Colmes?
From the dreck written by Kirsten Powers:
But there was another job (for Obama): shutting down the nonsense about how Sarah Palin or right-wing talkers caused the shooting.
This is the Fox News version of a liberal. It’s Obama’s job to defend Sarah Palin at a memorial for the shooting victims in Arizona?
She’s fucking nuts. What a warped view of the world.
It’s a miracle! Those poor ghettoized conservatives — outnumbered one point bupkis to one in the population and point two five to one in the media — have managed to take enough flame bait for maybe a single fifteen-minute filler and stretch it out to eight days of round-the-clock fake outrage, and it hasn’t even started guttering yet.
