For some reason C-list media site Mediaite continues to give intertube space to F-list douchebag and Sarah Palin online-stalker/boyfriend John Ziegler, whereupon Ziegler takes the opportunity to promote and attempt to sell his 2010 election DVD’s which are stacked up all over the place in his sad and depressing bachelor pad/sex palace/weekly-rate-available studio apartment.
This time Ziegler fleshes out his DVD sales pitch with a cursory attempt to explain to us why Kathleen Parker is living Parker/Spitzer. Two sentences in:
About three months ago, I predicted that CNN’s Parker/Spitzer show was “not long for this world.” I made this hardly earth-shattering prediction just after I appeared on the program to discuss the national rerelease of my documentary, “Media Malpractice… How Obama Got Elected and Palin was Targeted,” where I confronted Kathleen Parker about her role in the “assassination” of Sarah Palin during the 2008 election cycle.
I think that Ziegler has not yet come to terms with the fact that not everyone wants to fuck loves Sarah Palin, but this doesn’t stop him from pointing out that BECAUSE OF HIS AWESOMELY DEVASTATING MUST-CREDIT-JOHN-ZIEGLER DVD (that nobody wants to see or buy as either a gag gift or novelty coaster), lamestream media Palin-haters are watching their careers crash and burn like the average John Ziegler blind date:
There is also an interesting secondary element to Parker’s demise which might make media pundits a little more hesitant to attack Sarah Palin. Since the 2008 election, many of her biggest media critics have found themselves out of a job. Keith Olbermann, Rick Sanchez, David Shuster, Alan Colmes, Campbell Brown, John Roberts, Larry King, Harry Smith and Parker are all prominently mentioned in my documentary and all of them have been let go from TV jobs since Obama got elected.
Coincidence? Perhaps, though I have no doubt that if the media wanted to create a narrative here there would be more than enough data to justify it. Regardless, if Chris Matthews is smart, he might want to be careful.
Sarah Palin is the new Voldemort: She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named-Unless-It-Is-A-Tongue-Bath.

And here I thought Parker/Spitzer failed because it was a shitty show on a shitty news network. And kathleen Parker’s a Liberal? News to me , I always thought she was just another smarmy corporate media prostitute.
I’m sure this goes without saying, but by the end of the 2008 election every single person in the media, including those employed by Fox News, had said bad things about Palin. It was so obvious she was a joke, that it was next to impossible to find anything nice to say about her. And it’s not like they could have just ignored her — she was a friggin VP candidate.
So yeah, Ziegler lists some who were fired, quit, changed jobs, retired, or (I think in Larry King’s case) died over the past two years. And, holy shit, they all said bad things about Palin during the election.
I’m just now thinking that Ziegler is probably trusted by the Palin clan (though probably less so by the putative First Dude) enough to be allowed to author some of “her” takes. It would explain a lot.
Sadly for Ziegler as well as his idol, the music all stops in a few months (10, at the outside). Either Sarah doesn’t run (in which case all interest in her ceases instantly), or she does (in which case all interest in her ceases as soon as the NH primary is over).
Shorter (and with more self-awareness) Ziegler:
“I would never watch any show trashy enough to have me as a guest”.
Apologies to Captain Spaulding.
Palin/Tongue Bath.
Threw up a little in my mouth just then.
Chris Christie says critical things about Palin — does that mean she and the other members of her voodoo cult are going to arrange a Mama Cass moment for him?
(And yes, I know Mama Cass didn’t really go out on a Mama Cass moment.)
Early this morning I farted rather loudly and the sun broke the horizon for a new day. Coincidence? Perhaps. But if not, no need to thank me or worry about tomorrow’s dawn. I’m quite gassy every day.
FTW. You might well have continued: “[I’m quite gassy every day.] If John Ziegler is smart, he might want to be careful.”
We should also note that since Ms Parker took on the 1/2 wit, 1/2 governor, we haven’t been hit by a falling meteor, either. Thanks for saving us, sweetie.
Kathleen Parker and her inept ways were on display last week when the topic of Qadhaffi in Libya came up. When it was reported that Qadhaffi said he would die in Libya Parker chimed in:
“Is Qadhaffi seeking death by jihad?” Then when there was dumb silence corrected herself. “I mean martyrdom.”
Maybe CNN can find the next Glenn Beck to springboard into the mainstream.
Just in case y’all had forgotten, you’re trashing a PULITZER PRIZE WINNING COMMENTATOR, fer Chrissake… (I’m not making this up, you know…) I wish I were, but I’m not.
Hey now, let’s cut the douchebag a break… because if there’s anyone who knows what it’s like to destroy a career by making light of celebrity foibles, it’s Ziegler.
Ziegler is like a babbling mental patient the authorities have posted “missing” notices about.
He’s quite certain he’s King Shit of Shitsville and his proof is that no one else believes it to be true.
Dude, that cow is so fucked.
Why all the hate, Yo? I mean, it’s a small pad an’ shit but it can be very adaptable, chameleon-like and I’m just savin’ up for another place.
Seriously, chicks dig it.
Ahem.
Always worth posting a link to David Foster Wallace’s profile of John Ziegler, and Ziegler’s super-classy response to Wallace’s suicide. As with some of the things that lesser writers wrote following Hunter S. Thompson’s suicide, Ziegler, in a vain attempt to gain petty revenge on someone who made him feel small, makes himself even smaller in comparison.
Point taken, but just keep it over there, please. Thanks.
