Fuck Ticketmaster.

Dammit TBogg!
That picture is begging for the “mouse-over treatment”!
Fuck Ticketmaster. Long live Mott/Ian Hunter.
what he said – Long Live Mott the Hoople! And Ian Hunter!
This is why I never ever go to any show where Ticketfucker is the vendor. A fucking charge to print my own fucking ticket on my own fucking printer? Fuck Ticketmaster, or whatever they call themselves now that they own the whole fucking live show universe. I'll get my music from allofmp3.com or mp3sparks.com. You fucking bands stop doing business with Ticketmaster, then I'll start paying how you like me to do.
Holy fuck Styrper was for real?
I always thought they were a gag band.

I just ended up paying $23 in total Ticketbastard fees on two $34 tickets. And that, like tbogg, meant taking the cheapest delivery option — “will call” or “print your own” would have been another $5. Seriously: a $5 fee for the privilege of using my own paper and ink to print tickets, or for having the venue keep them in a box? Fuck Ticketmaster with a dead donkey’s dick.
So, basically, you buy a ticket for you and your SO…and you buy a 3rd one for Ticketmaster. I’ll bet the bastard will be scalping all of the extra tics out in front of the venue.
I utterly and absolutely loathe Ticketmaster. Sometimes avoid some event I might otherwise enjoy just because Tktmstr is only option.
We have a new service here called Brown Bag tickets, with much more reasonable charges.
$5 to print your own? Jeebus.
OT–Tejana, I was so sad when I read your post a couple of days ago about Itsa. That must have been terribly difficult for you–I’ve been trying to send you good thoughts.

And #11:
One More Time – The Pretenders
Went to see Neil Finn this week. Two $39 tickets cost $104, and that’s with Will Call to minimize the expenses. I’m in OC and since most of the venues are in LA, it’s hard to go to the box office, so TM is a necessary evil, unfortunately.
The show was still worth it, of course!
Yes fees suck, but what to do. I complain every time too, but still enjoy the show once there. I guess that is why the kids use the torrents. But live is so much different. Alas.

Where the fuck you been? Between TicketBastard and eviLNation, its all about the middleman.
My personal fave is the ‘ticket handling fee’ on the barcode you print from your own motherfucking printer.
Unless you are willing to foot it to the box office, pony up.
