Seriously, I just don’t get this. Even less do I get the hue and cry from other Dems demanding AW’s resignation.
But so much more importantly, if you are back in “heh indeedy” mode, I presume that means that all is (relatively) well with Fenway. His junk’s condition is so much more interesting and important to me than that of any congresscritter.
Yes, hoping this means TBogg is back in form, and therefore that means Fenway is back in form. Or getting there.
Hesitate to ask–don’t want to deflect any healing energy from Fenway — but suddenly one of my kittehs, Squeaky, is, gulp, not eating. Hasn’t eaten yet today at 2:30 pm. Didn’t get up (off my bed) till I went outside. Found her at the sliding doors watching, but then she went back to bed. Worried. If anyone has a little extra healing energy/agnostic prayer, whatever, she could use it.
But don’t take any away from Fenway. It’s why he’s getting better, y’know.
I ask because there’s this thing that happens with older kittehs where they stop eating for a few days and their bodies start to “eat” their livers. More common in female cats. It’s a bad deal – I had one kitty aged 11 or so that did this…once the liver is damaged, they never do go back to eating normally, and from that point it’s a drawn-out decline. Gabby went on for about 18 months after the initial onset, getting progressively skinnier and weirder in her eating habits – when she would eat at all. We went through a Wendy’s chicken sandwich phase and a Hormel pepperoni phase…basically, if she showed any interest in eating it, I fed it to her. Towards the end she got quite senile as well, started trying to run into & hide in the neighbor’s house, despite their two young children. She had apparently forgotten by this point that she hated kids.
Long story short, if your kitty is getting up in years, I’d take her to the vet if she goes even 2 or 3 days without eating. The liver damage only sets in after they’ve stopped eating for some days. If I had known this when Gabby went off her feed and got her to the vet sooner, it could have made a big difference.
Taking pictures of his genitals and sending them to all sorts of women he’d never met is not what Anthony Weiner did that was shameful, it was something far more vile and despicable: being vain about the fitness of his own body.
Needless to say, this is once vice you will never, ever, find Ross indulging in.
I had never actually seen not-so-Breitbart until recently, when I caught a clip of him doing the “dopey & evil” (or something) radio show on Colbert. He looks like a sweaty loser. I mean, he looks more like a tea partier (serf) than a “conservative” (overlord), if you know what I mean? So, not a real threat to liberals – even his own side won’t really take him seriously. He can scare Democrats, of course, and unfortunately, they are a threat to liberals.
The alarums and *concern* re: Weiner’s weiner overshadows the real dick in our midst- good ol’ Justice Thomas and his media dump. When Thomas gets run out of the Village on a rail, then “they” can come back for Tony the Weiner (damn, that’s a good mob nickname!)
Ross’s encounter with The Chunkier Reese With-a-spoon was quite possibly his realization that the obviously experienced Chunky Reese would be dismayed, even in her drunken state, with his woefully inadequate apparatus.
aw, jenn, thanks – Squeaky’s not quite 7. We’ve lost several of her siblings either directly to FeLV or a related illness; that’s why I’m worried. If she hasn’t eaten by tomorrow, we go to the vet for sure.
TBogg – sorry, I didn’t mean to hijack the thread.
I, too, try not to think about Breitbart.
Oh, and I’m taking the no-new-news-about-Fenway as good news about Fenway.
tejanarusa — is your kitty pooping? Because not only is not eating a very bad thing in cats, but not pooping is awful as well.
I’ve had a cat with the liver thing (and it is really awful; what was worse was that I hadn’t even noticed until she was half-dead that she hadn’t been eating, because my other animals ate her food), and another who got a hairball stuck and stopped eating/threw up everything she ate and then stopped pooping.
Fortunately, the stuck hairball moved, and her system restarted, after several days of force-feeding her hairball remedy. The other one needed hospitalization, surgery, a transfusion and a month of force-feeding before she started eating on her own again.
Seriously, I just don’t get this. Even less do I get the hue and cry from other Dems demanding AW’s resignation.

Only guy on the innertubes as funny as TBogg. No not Breitbart, the other guy.
Would have been even funnier by adding another line…”ask me about my rapeboat.”

Good vibes to Squeaky and Fenway and any other beloved animals who are under the weather.
“I just want to hug all the cats in the world.” And goggies too.
tejan – what is the age of your kitteh?

By the way, shorter Chunky Bobo Without His Spoon:

Ross Douthat: Catholic guilt personified.
Most men are proud of their little soldiers; many overweeningly so. As Ross himself has revealed, his fills him with shame.
Actually when I think of Breitbart (which I do try not to do at all), I’m more likely to think of a dick than a penis.

Shorter me: get that cat to the vet post haste.
So, useful idiots come in various stripes?
Also, thank you to tejanarusa for improving the subject of this post.
{And hugs to Squeaky, Fenway, and all the other beasts who share the laughter but don’t read TBogg.}
