I have often thought of starting up a business whereby all those in-duh-viduals who want to “Go Galt” could send me all their excess cash to keep them below the Obamatax line. I would be more than happy to take their tax burden on for them; after all, it would be better for only one person to pay the Obamatax than for many. The sacrifices I would make for the Galtian teatards. Oh, the pain, the pain…

Not me, I’m on the Buffett plan: I will advocate higher taxes for millionaires and billionaires while simultaneously fighting in court not to pay the $1 billion in back taxes that I already owe.

The ALEC-owned Minnesota Republican Legislature’s response to Democratic Governor Mark Dayton’s budget proposals was quite telling.

They willingly dumped everything they’d campaigned on — no economic stimulus spending, no new debt, lotsa anti-abortion, anti-gay, anti-science, anti-union crapola — just to make sure the 7,700 persons making more than $1 million a year didn’t pay a penny more in taxes.

In other words, he forced them to admit what their real priority was: Making sure rich people don’t pay taxes if at all possible.

After the financial fall in September 2008, we were told that increased regulation and higher taxes would cause the Wall Street “talent” to migrate to financial firms in China.

Well, good riddance. So sorry to see you go, goodbye.

American investment bankers are the most failed professionals in the history of humanity. They have betrayed and robbed their fellow countrymen and the result of their behavior would be considered treasonous in any sane country while it is involved in world war.

Chinese bankers, producing the same outcome as American bankers, would certainly not receive a government bailout and a bonus paycheck, but would have to answer to the firing squad.

The “talent’ on Wall Street is smart enough to avoid Chinese “regulation”. We are stuck with them.

Here’s an idea. Instead of the Fed giving money to the banks, give it to SS or the senior directly. The money will go to the banks anyway, but the people will own it.

I would happily exchange my current pay check for that of a fairly taxed millionaire.

I have no objection to paying taxes because I understand their value, which means I’m not a stupid clueless OAF.

(I would cut off medicare to libertarians though.)
