Republican Presidential debates…the more you see them, the worse they get. Did they really think it would turn out differently?

Choosing between these clowns is like trying to decide between anal warts and syphillis.

I’m surprised Romney didn’t use the argument: “Hey, the Founding Fathers had slaves, why can’t I?”

I fail to understand why – or how or when – it became my responsibility to not only determine whether someone working for me was competent and able to do the job but was in the country according to the rules. Which am I – La Migra or El Norte?

Another question, where Perry called Cain his brother from another mother, was equally hilarious. And on this issue, Romney really ought to get a pass. He hired the lawn company and it’s not his job to check the paperwork of their employees. The fact that he’s having to do a song-and-dance about it highlight how silly the Republican debates have become. And that he’s not all that good at song and dance.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell the difference between the actual republican debates and the running parody skits on SNL. In fact, the characters on the SNL skits seem saner than their real life counterparts.

Call it the Onionization of the American conservative movement.

I fail to see the news value in Mitt’s admission. Like it’s a surprise he’s a hypocritical, self-serving, egotistical asshole who hires Mescans to mow his lawn?

Let’s keep the coverage to only the innovative ideas coming out of the debates like erecting a giant electric wall around the entire country, sending only gay soldiers into combat, and ensuring health care to the 1% who really, really need it.

Don’t forget the Specialized Caring and Responsible Overseer, Organizer, Governor or Employer (SCROOGE) Act to supplant unions.

1- He fired them NOT because they hired illegals, but because he is “running for office”.

2- I agree that when a contracting company is used, you shouldn’t be held responsibile for their hireing practices. Unless that one company is half the cost of everybody else. It’s a red flag that they are using illegals. That’s like buying a Rolex for $50 on the street, & whining to the arresting cop, “I didn’t know it was stolen!”

Anyone else notice that when you can’t run on public solutions to address structural unemployment, the only thing left is to divide the electorate on cultural issues? And all of these cultural issues(immigration, war on drugs, abortion, wars for corporate profit) and the solutions Republicans want to promote, all require huge government financial resources and oversight to bludgeon the will of the minority on the majority? More DEA, more ICE, more DHS, more private contractors, more military spending, more government involvement with family planning. Here’s where they want to reduce the size of government: Less IRA, less EPA, less Dept of Energy, less Education, less DOT, less safety net, less regulation and oversight. You know, to level the playing field for the individual vs. the corporation.

It’s government by the minority instead of government for the majority.

Remember when the first George Bush ran against Ronald Reagan in the 1980 primaries and actually was able to call Reagan’s plan for America “voodoo economics”?
