The revolution is definitely not going to be televised
That ought to win them a local Emmy. The only thing it was missing was “A-bidi A-bidi A-bidi… That’s all folks!” and some Looney Tunes outro music…

No comment is really necessary, is it?
LiveStream: Occupy Oakland (not live anymore, but this is what went on after the official journalist cameras went away)

Apparently, TPTB are getting tired of this Constitutional ‘right to assembly’ thing. Or maybe they want to jumpstart that whole Free Speech movement that made the 60′s such an interesting time in recent American history. Stay tuned…I don’t think this is going away anytime soon.
Last week the Oakland OWS crowd was snarking how they were “showing San Francisco how to do it right.” Things change from minute to minute.
KTVU in Oakland has full coverage:

Odd that both networks had pressing business elsewhere when the First Amendment-kicking started.
There is no honor in this.
Isn’t there a missing white girl somewhere we can all turn our focus on?
Easy explanation. It’s late October, therefore the networks must be reallocating resources to cover the neverending War on Christmas.
That reminds me: The protesters were “throwing bottles”, all right — to each other. The bottles were filled with water, used to rinse out tear gas and pepper spray from one’s eyes. People would ask for water, and bottles would be supplied.
Thanks for the update on this, TBogg. Good catch. Expect more of the same as OccupyEverywhere continues. There’s going to more aggressive action from the PTB, and every trick in the book will be used to cover it up, not report on it, deny it, blame it on the protestors, etc etc.
All reminiscent of the 60s protests. As the froggies say: Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose.
