Shorter Patrick Pexton:
I am mildly distressed to discover that Jennifer Rubin’s racist genocidal inclinations are a feature and not a bug.
For the record this is the blog post Rubin approvingly retweeted, written by Rachel Abrams (wife of murder/rape-loving Elliott Abrams, daughter of Midge Decter and Norman Podhoretz, and step-sister to John Podhoretz. Yeah. They’re like a kosher Manson family):
GILAD!!!!!!!!!!
He’s free and he’s home in the bosom of his family and his country.
Celebrate, Israel, with all the joyous gratitude that fills your hearts, as we all do along with you.
Then round up his captors, the slaughtering, death-worshiping, innocent-butchering, child-sacrificing savages who dip their hands in blood and use women—those who aren’t strapping bombs to their own devils’ spawn and sending them out to meet their seventy-two virgins by taking the lives of the school-bus-riding, heart-drawing, Transformer-doodling, homework-losing children of Others—and their offspring—those who haven’t already been pimped out by their mothers to the murder god—as shields, hiding behind their burkas and cradles like the unmanned animals they are, and throw them not into your prisons, where they can bide until they’re traded by the thousands for another child of Israel, but into the sea, to float there, food for sharks, stargazers, and whatever other oceanic carnivores God has put there for the purpose.
She really needed to add a “bless their hearts” at the very end.

If nothing else, “Bad Rachel” has been kept busy deleting comments from her little post.
Well, isn’t Patrick Pexton a fine arbiter of conduct for the Post? He expresses “disappointment,” because the linked blogpost is so “incendiary.” It’s more of that awful incivility! It makes Patrick Pexton have a sad!
I’d add “bless his heart,” but I’m from the west, and out here we just tell people to go fuck themselves.
Holy shit it must be drop-dead terrifying to be that fucking ignorant.
Not really. They’re not terrified. They’re too dumb to know how dumb they are.
“The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled people make poor decisions and reach erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive ability to recognize their mistakes. The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their ability as above average, much higher than it actually is”
My god, that’s the most weasel-y thing I’ve ever read (from Pexton).
Please enlighten us Jennifer — if a “re-tweet” isn’t an endorsement, why did you re-tweet such obvious bigotry?
I mean, Goebbels didn’t write _all_ of Hitler’s speeches, so it makes it OK to blithely quote Goebbels AMIRITE?
So much fail, so little time. Rubin, in her grotesque parody of self-defense, admits that “she admires Abrams, has quoted her a lot, thinks she’s an excellent writer…” But just a few short lines later, Pexton, in his desperate attempt to help her sweep this puke back under the rug, is forced to state “Abrams’s post is so full of dashes it’s hard to follow, but the subject of her run-on sentence does appear to be “captors” not Palestinians in general.” So much for Rubin’s claim that Abrams is an excellent writer — at least if by writer you mean someone who makes good use of the English language to concisely convey an opinion. If by “writer” you mean fellow hater and spewer of incoherent rants against other people, then Rubin can certainly admire Abrams all she wants — but then she owns Abrams’ ugly screed, and the Post should perhaps think twice about allowing Rubin access to space in their paper in the future. FTF, Pexton.
Hey, you’re treading on dangerous ground, poking fun at one of the South’s sacred traditions (along with racism, bigotry, vote suppression, corruption, etc). I refer, of course, to the feeling that you can say anything about anyone as long as you add “bless his/her heart” at the end, like that makes it okay. As in, “so-and-so is dumber than a barrel of hair…bless her heart”.
the slaughtering, death-worshiping, innocent-butchering, child-sacrificing
If she’d only added tax-hiking, latte-swilling, Volvo-driving, sushi-eating and a few others she really could have got the hate on.
Also, in defense of Edwin Hubble, he may have liked a steak now and then but he was no oceanic carnivore.
And “kosher Manson family” as the tag for these nepotistic “sinecure creators” is just perfect.
Or, to paraphrase Vonnegut: There’s such a thing as so stupid that you don’t know smart exists.
Not just the south, here in Ohio my very overweight mother will make a remark on how her granddaughter went from being average weight to a very plus size ending with the Bless her heart statement. I did love when Molly Ivins would throw one out though….
What, it sounds like a normal “right leaning” article at the Washington Post to me, I don’t see the big deal, if some blog linked to it that’s their own fault.
She didn’t say “fuck,” so it’s not really offensive.
Rachel Abrams: ridiculously verbose and poisonous at the same time. What a combo. and “stargazers and … other oceanic carnivores?” I don’t even know what that means.
Jeeezus…that profile shot of Rachel is some scary shit (he says scrambling back into the boat).
My favorite part of Pexton’s response:
Conservatives are free to make up any bullshit they want, confident in the knowledge that the Post will publish it. Facts are for schmucks.
Also, too:
.
Any paper that has Charles Krauthammer, Jennifer Rubin, Michael Gerson, George Will, Marc Thiessen, Robert Samuelson and Kathleen Parker writing weaponized right-wing bullshit (and so-called “liberals” like Richard Cohen, Anne Applebaum, David Ignatius and Ruth Marcus writing Village-approved centrist crap) could not possibly have enough “liberal” voices to achieve anything close to balance.
She reminds of the weird old geezer in Poltergeist 2.
The fact that the Washington Post cleanly divides things into “left” and “right”, as they see it anyway, is just evidence that they subscribe to the idiot Villager mentality of DC more than any other organization. The idea of seeing reality or the truth of any of those quaint concepts is subordinated to the pursuit of the “both sides do it” ideal instead, and if the facts don’t fit either of those “sides” then it’s just ignored entirely.
The simplest way to demonstrate this is to look at what was happening at the start of the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Both “left” and “right” were on board, enthusiastic even, at least as they define left and right. Some of us were appalled, others of us were even arrested protesting (I know people who were arrested protesting the first Gulf War, though few know that protests even took place) but “both left and right are behind it!” and Bush and Cheney and Powell could point to places like the Post as proof.
God, that mess of a newspaper. An OPERA reporter, who is not a direct employee of NPR, has to be let go of her NPR contract because she had the temerity to protest Wall Street, but Rubin passing on Abram’s puke is
a-OK. There is no liberal press.
The tea party reich-wing Republicans get wiped out all over the electoral map and the WP leads with lessons learned from Virginia??? Oh, please. I didn’t even know there WAS an election in Virginia. But I sure was paying attention to Ohio and Mississippi.
Katherine Graham must be screaming in her grave.
No shit. You’d think the WaPo didn’t realize there was an election in the rest of the country.
We here in Viginia can now look forward to referendums on “personhood,” screwing over teachers, and a never-ending litany of challenges to “Obamacare” brought by our nutjob AG Ken Cucinelli. After Florida and Arizona, Virginia was bound to get its turn to lead the crazy train.
Well, I’ll look on the bright side and pray that the nutcases look at Mississippi and figure if they can’t win there, they can’t win anywhere. Colorado ought to have an referenda on whether anyone is allowed to proffer a ‘personhood’ amendment ever again. Send ‘em to prison for bothering the sane people.
Now, the next thing on the list is to wipe out these voter ‘papers, please’ laws. Maybe when the wingnuts’ own grandmothers can’t vote they might start to re-think. ‘Course that gives them credit for thinking , so I may be too much of an optimist there.
I feel sorry for all the states with the ‘new, improved, crazier’ Republican party Governors and legislatures, AGs. What a pleasure to watch Kasich last night. Squirm, buddy, squirm you worm. Next, Scott Walker.
Yep. I notice that the Post considers Dana Milbank (of Hillary “Mad Bitch” Clinton fame) one of its “left-leaning” columnists. Yeesh.
“Then round up his captors, the slaughtering, death-worshiping, innocent-butchering…”
But you Israelophiles are giving them a run for their money.
Who is this bitch ?
Exactly. But then again, she’s a right-wing neocon, so there is literally nothing either Ms. Rubin or Ms. Abrams could say that would get them banished from public life. Nothing.
She’s a psychopathic bigot who uses anything as a pretext to exercise her fear-driven bloodlust.
Pittypatty Pexton makes L’il Debbie (RIP) look like a fearless advocate of readers’ concerns against the institutional arrogance of the Kaplan Test Prep Daily.
Oh…a republican. Well why didn’t he say so.
If all you knew..maybe you do..the extent of israels crimes way beyond Palestine you would feel as i..and maybe you do..total revulsion and disgust.
I once wanted to convert to judaism. I was shocked and saddened by the things I heard spoken against them. So, I decided to research what I found to be reprehensible and came away an avowed anti zionist. Let me be clear being an anti ziionist has nothing to do with jews unless you are a zionist jew. It is funny that say, to name a specific name, bibi nettyahoo is an ashkenazi, a khazar, in other words of a people who converted to judaism in apprx the 7th century so they are not of the lost tribe of israel.
I take it a little further than all of you would and will lose all credibility with the following statement but I will stand by the words as the truth as I know it. The israeli’s are in part responsible for 911. Just a little more for you to chew is the fact that bldg 7 came down as a controlled demolition shot, i know a little about demolition from my work. It takes quite awhile to wire a bldg for demolition, so if that was the case it follows that the others were also. nuff said and sorry for the OT but these people are scum on this earth, a blight and a light needs to shine on them and not be dimmed by their pathetic cries of anti semitism when that is not the case. They use it as a weapon to hide their many crimes and transgressions.
Hey, Maddy FU!
When hubby Elliott was busy helping Reagan murder El Salvadorans, Guatemalans and Nicaraguans, someone asked Rachel how she felt about the “criticisms” being leveled at her husband.
She said, “I’d like to take a machine gun to them..” or something of that sort.
Nice lady.
Did you read any of the comments below Pexton’s column? Toxic, really. Amazing how many delusional RW-ers raved about the “left-wing extremists” columnists in the Post. WTF?
These people live in their own reality.
Okay. Well that was kind of nuts. But thanks for playing….
Hey, TBogg, who left Carolyn Glick out of this kosher cluster of clattering cunts?
Let me explain Building 7 to you in very simple terms:
It. Burned.
No controlled demolition. (For one thing, there was NO TIME when that could have been set up without someone noticing. It’s not something done overnight, or even in a couple of days.)
So take your idjit-pushed conspiracy theories and stuff them.
So, is TBogg an Offspring fan, then?
where are you we can go on a date.
not, didnt happen
I guess I ride alone and crazy. okay by me. Rude people are cheapness, a dime a dozen and ridicule is fresh air.
steel bldg’s don’t burn down mr. congeniality.
if you live in nocal and would like to insult me further I can be reached through this email and we’ll do lunch, I’ll buy. maxbunko at gmail dot com
half-sister of John P.
Hatred, that vehemently expressed just eats away at your soul and your body. She is killing her spirit and her physical self. What a fucked up way to go through life.
You’re gonna need a bigger boat.
Maddy, you’re not crazy or alone on B7 – just shouted down by Izzy-firsters.
For someone to view the videos of Building 7′s collapse and then say it was fire is just simply beyond belief that a functioning human brain could muster such a thought.
About courage and being alone, this short video of a Palestinian girl facing down the IDF says it all: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article29669.htm
Heh!
Mike: Steel (and every other metal) loses strength well before it hits the melting point. That’s why forging metal is possible — you know, where you heat metal to where it glows red-orange hot, but not hot enough to where it actually melts? So that you can then shape the metal while it’s hot and flexible?

1500 engineers and architects professionally disagree with the debunking trash that has been put out there. At about 12 seconds into this clip you’ll see why: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kVKGRB3cygg#t=449s
Real quick..I want truth, and I know what I see, and I know who I am dealing with..I just want an end to the butchery. I’ll say no more, but someday you will see what I see. I am no conspiracy nut although I got a tinfoil hat for my 70th birthday last week literally ha ha
If you get mad at me..that’s good, maybe you will be mad enough to do more research…
Somehow, I can’t help speculating what the (ahem) private life of hell-hag-harpy Rachel and her death squad/murderer/rapist hubby Elliot might be. There’s gotta be an underground DVD that captures their essence perfectly. Just hope the actors are more attractive than they are….
