Well, that was a Big stupid week, wasn’t it and aren’t you glad it’s over?
Let’s get to the music:
Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey’s Head – Gorillaz
Wishin’ and Hopin’ – Dusty Springfield
No Liazi Jaz – Plankton Man (The Tijuana Sessions)
Quiet Little Voices – We Were Promised Jetpacks*
Shit Scheisse Merde, Pt 1 – !!!
The Good Times Are Killing Me – Modest Mouse
Come Undone – Placebo
Some Other Dog – Mark Sandman
Solar – Bill Evans Trio
Pennyroyal Tea – Nirvana
and…. Caribbean Time – Nelly McKay
Surprisingly none of these were found on Mitt Romney’s playlist.
I found this amusing:
For only $7 you could have a different copy of Scott Stapp’s solo CD to play for each day of the week. Awesome.

Oddly enough, none of these are on Mitt's playlist either:

And a little bonus Ubu: 333 – Pere Ubu
Well, that ain’t a bad list on Mitt’s part, if a bit old-fashioned. But I’m gonna assume he didn’t have quite so much Country there before he started running for office, for Pete’s sake. Can’t see him listening to any of these guys, either:

Ice Cream Man – Tom Waits
Dancing Choose – TV on the Radio
All I Want – Queensryche

And a little somethin’ extra: Jumpin’ Jack – Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
@ JerryN- Cleveland Rocks, dude! No surf, but great bands!
The Creaturette has been turning old DVD’s into drink coasters. That ScottSchlub $ 1 deal looks like it would be a great way to help out her crafting ‘stuff’.

Crap. I got nothin’ on the music list this week, but that “turning dvd’s into drink coasters.”…I’ve seen a few of those craft projects with cd’s and dvd’s…talk about feeling old! I still have LP’s, for pity’s sake! CD’s, let alone DVD’s, are the newfangled things, and already they’re being “upcycled.”
Well, what the hell, I already exposed my lack of taste last week, why not do it again?

Yeah, Cleveland did rock. I spent my formative years (i.e. college, early 20s) in Cleveland when the whole Cleveland / Akron music scene was at its peak. Rocket From The Tombs disappeared before anyone actually knew about them, but Pere Ubu, Tin Huey, The Numbers Band, etc. were around.
The great thing was that there was a ton of live music around at places like the Euclid Tavern, Peabody's, Phantasy Theater, and others. The guitar player from The Generators (to this day my favorite bar band) has posted some videos from a show of theirs back around '81 that brings back a lot of memories.
Crapping ‘stuff’ if Creed DVDs are used…
Super Rocket Rumble – Man…or Astro-man?
Did She? – Miaow
Raised in the City – The Replacements
Princess of the Street – Stranglers
It’s the Only Way to Live (Die) – The Cigarettes
Tijuana Two-Step – Tijuana Panthers
Tornado – El Ray
Medicine Water – Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs
Private Song – The Meows
Something Going On – The Blue Squares
