Over at Andrew Breitbart’s Big Collection Of Videos Of Black People Saying Stuff Official Presidential Vetter Joel Pollak has uncovered exclusive (MUST CREDIT JOEL AND BOOZY-SMELLING GHOST OF DEAD GUY!) video of gun-grabby Eric Holder talking about denying America’s Jesus-given 2nd Amendment rights to Crips, Bloods, and Latin Kings.
Therefore: Eric Holder is racist.
Headlined:
The Vetting – Holder 1995: We Must ‘Brainwash’ People on Guns
Super smart Harvard guy Pollak writes:
Breitbart.com has uncovered video from 1995 of then-U.S. Attorney Eric Holder announcing a public campaign to ”really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.”
Holder was addressing the Woman’s National Democratic Club. In his remarks, broadcast by CSPAN 2, he explained that he intended to use anti-smoking campaigns as his model to “change the hearts and minds of people in Washington, DC” about guns.
“What we need to do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people, and make it something that’s not cool, that it’s not acceptable, it’s not hip to carry a gun anymore, in the way in which we changed our attitudes about cigarettes.”
Holder added that he had asked advertising agencies in the nation’s capital to assist by making anti-gun ads rather than commercials “that make me buy things that I don’t really need.” He had also approached local newspapers and television stations, he said, asking them to devote prime space and time, respectively, to his anti-gun campaign.
Watch this extraordinary rant as Eric Holder explains that too many kids are packing heat and that we should try and discourage them from doing so. As anyone who has ever read the Federalist Papers knows, this is the same as “getting all up” in the Founding Father’s “grill” and telling them to “step off, yo” before going and shitting on their graves:
You see, Real Constitutional Patriots want to encourage inner city kids to have lots of guns and to express themselves with those guns accordingly. Because every Jesus-blessed bullet not used on the suspicious-looking Skittle-packing youths roaming our streets is a bullet that can be used at a later date to protect God-fearing American households from home-invading gangs of gays who want to steal their definition of marriage.
Obviously, this reflects poorly on President Obama.

Just a really good post from beginning to end. Kudos, T.
(Sweet merciful Jesus, there is a big yellow ad for concealed carry permits RIGHT ABOVE the comments! Yeah, I know. Still: shameless, even by algorithmic standards.)
As for Big RigorMortis, I think we’re going to see the whole Largeness franchise turn to stone before long: Sarah Palin is running around the blogosphere saying she is Andrew Breitbart, and he is here (or something). Once Mrs. Palin blesses something with her anti-Midas touch, its demise is pretty much a forgone conclusion (see also: Newt).
Baby Jeebus? He’s a cryin’
PSA campaigns are theft!!!
I got out of the boat and went to BigRottingCorpse. I read this from someone or something in the comments section: “There is no such thing as a moderate democrat nor Islamos that are just folks without guns. Yes they are Social Democrats that hate the Jews with American ”partial” Jews leading the charge.” And then, “We must ALL be
Breitbart now or we will get run over by these people and then the terrorists (E.H., B.O., et al) will win.”
They’re so funny! What a bunch of kidders those Breitbart readers…they really had me going there for a minute.
What?
Ya damn kids. Get off my intertube nets.
Scary, chilling stuff.
That doesn’t even make sense!!
So, is this congenital, accidental or self-inflicted brain damage?
Overexposed to Breitbarton radiation. These heavy, slow particles are created by the radioactive mechanism of Breitbart Decay.
Exactly. I think what we really need are more gun-owning citizens, carrying their weapons on the streets of America’s cities. Especially the black, young male citizens.
I sure as hell wish Trayvon Martin had been packing.
War. Get some, bitches.
(Actually, no I don’t. I am so saddened by the death of Trayvon Martin. As the mother of a young man close to his age, I grieve for his family. Fuck vigilante assholes like Zimmerman and all the Breitbartian fantasy warriors.)
As I usually don’t, I followed the link and watched the whole 4 minutes of video footage from Breitbart’s site.
There’s a really good reason why the word “‘brainwash’” is rendered in quotes.
It’s never used, either implicitly or explicitly, by Eric Holder.
Older Holder (ca. 1995) is promoting advertising to change people’s minds, like “don’t drive while intoxicated” and “don’t smoke.” Or “buy a Mazda, because we go zoom-zoom,” if you want to take it to the logical extreme.
But he’s black, and a Democrat, and watches, occasionally, “Fresh Prince of Belair,” so q.e.d., he’s against “freedom.”
BrainwashingAdvertising sucks, unless it’s corporatebrainwashingadvertising, in which case it’s ok.Obama…Who once hugged a black guy.
I also heard he fathered two black children.
As awful as Tim Geithner, Janet Napolitano, and Arne Duncan are, one can make a good argument that Eric (“9/11 Changed Everything”) Holder was the absolute worst appointee to the Obama Cabinet.
As AG, Holder is several orders of magnitude worse than Janet Reno, and he’s drifting into A. Mitchell Palmer territory.
Nicely done. I was wondering how to phrase that but I overlooked the obvious reference.
I keep wondering what it’s going to take to actually start a conversation about the overabundance of guns in this society. We’ve had shootings at middle schools and high schools, with children randomly gunned down by people who had easy access to guns. We’ve had abortion providers gunned down by erligious zealots. We’ve had Congresspeople and their constituents shot and killed. We’ve had people in museums killed by Neo-Nazis. Now we’ve had a black teenager who wasdoing nothing other than walking through a neighborhood gunned down by “neighborhood watch” vigilantes.
I remember watching “Bowling for Columbine” and thinking that we had to be approaching that moment, where we finally, as a country, had decided that this was something that needed to be debated, and addressed. That movie came out in 2002. So, ten years later, and we still have politicians on all sides of the ideological divide totally cowed by the NRA. And gun restrictions are still not only not being discussed, they’re not even in close earth orbit to being discussed. I give up.
You’re so right. Oh, for the days of John Ashcroft, Alberto Gonzalez and Michael Mukasey, not to mention Edwin Meese and John Mitchell. Now there were giants among men.
True that!
Primary O’Bummer!
Bring on President Santorum’s
Purity SquadJustice Department…went to a gun fight last week and lo an behold they were all packin political views.
My hometown of DC used to be known as the murder capital of the world, right around the mid 90′s. You cold step over the border into lovely conservative gun-friendly Virginia, buy some guns, then come back into DC and murder some kids.
So yeah, Breitbart fails yet again. Is this truly the best the conservatives have? Really?
I remember, back in the day, when William French Smith was the gold standard for AG’s. Course, back then we wore onions on our belts, which was the style at the time
What could have been. Also, too:
He would have been a perfect AG for Romney. Too bad he’s been Breitbarted.
Dimbart Junior has a point. After forty years I am still traumatized by the brainwashing I received from those jack-booted thugs at Keep America Beautiful!
Isn’t it pathetic how they think, like that guy dumping out garbage cans in the park to encourage trees to grow, they are providing a public service?
I hate to be That Guy, but Holder does indeed use the word “brainwash” near the end of the video (at about the 3:10 mark), but only a paranoid fool like Pollak would think Holder meant literal brainwashing.
Oh, and I was listening so hard, too! :-)
Well, Holder has his Gunwalker when he’s not using his secret police to spy on Muslims.
With a black woman, no less! Oh, and did I mention she was black?
There’s a really good reason why the word “‘brainwash’” is rendered in quotes.

Aside from what Ogami Itto says @24 – I hate to be the OTHER That Guy, but the use of quotes around “brainwash” would be correct if it did occur in Holder’s speech.
19fucking95 and just now being brought into the naked light of day? Sure has been effective, yeah? Talk about a stealth campaign…
I would hope and expect that the Republican convention is a safe zone for concealed carry. Surely, it these laws are good for the general public, they are doubly good at Republican conventions. Every conventioneer should be allowed to carry and drink as much as they want, too, also. It would make for a valuable and instructive social experiment to see what happens after a bunch of firecrackers go off during the 1st ballot nominations.
19fucking95 and just now being brought into the naked light of day? Sure has been effective, eh? Talk about a stealth campaign…
I know! “Only you can prevent forest fires?” Fuck you, Smokey! Stop telling me what to do!
Eh? Don’t get off the canoe, kimosabe, or you’ll read lotsa “nice” comments (and very recent, I might add) about how horrid it is that some, gasp shudder, Native ‘Murkin is telling whities what to do!!11!!!
Clearly that tearful Indian is *still* traumatizing the libertarian-conservative-racists out there in the hoo-ess-aaay.
True. They were so smart, they probably even knew the difference between “due process” and “judicial process”.
I remember that.
How McCain managed to not strangle Rove with his own necktie after that is one of the great mysteries.
Brace yourself, onit: If you’re talking about that “Native American” who sheds a tear by the side of the highwaay as somebody flings a load of litter at his feet, then you’re talking about an Italian guy named Espera DeCorti, the son of two Italian immigrants, who moved to Hollywood from Louisiana in 1924, changed his name to Iron Eyes Cody, and worked in nearly two hundred films, always playing a Native American.
