Sentient butt plug Brian Brown of the National Organization Marriage is all shrieky and pissy today because the New York Times was talking shit about his proposal to start a Homos vs. Browns race war (probably just Ron Christie endlessly punching himself in the face for all of eternity) so he sent a out a Very Special Plea for more hater dollars:
Dear Marriage Supporter,
Gay marriage activists are on the attack like never before. And it’s getting personal.
They are targeting NOM and have pulled out the race card in a desperate attempt to shut us down in this critical election year. Why?
Because they know that our coalition is strong and growing, and NOM has become the single biggest obstacle in their campaign to force same-sex marriage on every American state, county and municipality.
The latest barrage came Tuesday from the Gray Lady herself [ed. old lesbian] , when The New York Times editorial board charged NOM with employing a “poisonous political approach” based on “racially and ethnically divisive strategies” to block same-sex marriage.
It’s laughable.
“Hah! You’re the racist, you race-card-playing hater bigot racist New York Racist Times!”
Wait, let’s check out those memos again:
“The strategic goal of this project is to drive a wedge between gays and blacks—two key Democratic constituencies. Find, equip, energize and connect African American spokespeople for marriage, develop a media campaign around their objections to gay marriage as a civil right; provoke the gay marriage base into responding by denouncing these spokesmen and women as bigots…”
[...]
“The Latino vote in America is a key swing vote, and will be so even more so in the future, both because of demographic growth and inherent uncertainty: Will the process of assimilation to the dominant Anglo culture lead Hispanics to abandon traditional family values? We must interrupt this process of assimilation by making support for marriage a key badge of Latino identity – a symbol of resistance to inappropriate assimilation.”
“We aim to identify young Latino and Latina leaders, especially artists, actors, musicians, athletes, writers and other celebrities willing to stand for marriage, regardless of national boundaries. …Here’s our insight: The number of “glamorous” people willing to buck the powerful forces to speak for marriage may be small in any one country. But by searching for these leaders across national boundaries we will assemble a community of next generation Latino leaders that Hispanics and other next generation elites in this country can aspire to be like. (As “ethnic rebels” such spokespeople will also have an appeal across racial lines, especially to young urbans in America.)”
So their plan isn’t actually “racially and ethnically divisive” since they’re actively seeking “ethnic rebels” who appeal to “young urbans”. That seems very inclusive, so.. Ricky Martin, I guess.
Rest assured though that, should you give Brian Brown your manly heterosexual dollars for services provided, he will totally keep your relationship on the down-low which is the way you guys like it from what I hear…

And right there, in one crystal clear example, is the conservative activist M.O. Do or say something awful and then cry about the mean, mean liberals who notice. Raise money.
Repeat.
OK, maybe I’ll keep reading the NY Times:
Sentient butt plug. Definitely going to steal that one from you, my Demonic Overlord.
So where on the Koch org chart does NOM show up? I would assume they must be in the same astro-turf biz segment as “Citizens for a Happier Future” and “Concerned Americans for Traditional Values”.
How stupid do you have to be not to see through this bullshit?
Dude, I’m all down with that “humor” and “hyperbole” and stuff that you use to stay relevant to today’s young people, but I think there are some things that are just over the line, that are so ridiculous, so horrifyingly, self-evidently false that it can’t help but damage your credibility.
“Sentient”? Bitch, please.
imo .. “sentient butt plug” was far too kind … the guy is a real piece of shit ..
“Sentient butt plug” is going into my basket of humorous ripostes. What’s in your basket, Joey? Talking teapots? Marvel action heroes? Betsy-Wetsy dolls?
I think Joey is saying that I’m giving Brian too much credit by calling him sentient.
Well, it threw me for a minute.
Are they still claiming that the gays are shoving their engorged, rock-hard, throbbing agenda down their throat? Or did they catch on?
Call the waaahmbulance. Racist bigoted homophobic haters have a sad for being called racist bigoted homophobic haters with a nasty shitty homophobic agenda that everyone can read.
To Bring your Bible quote a little more into context, Jesus didnt say that just out of the blue, while walking along the beach one morning. “A rich man” approached him and asked him how he might get into heaven, Jesus told him point blank the line you began with.. Then, for even more clarity, when “the rich man” declined to sell all his stuff and give the money to the poor, and as the guy was walking away Jesus said to the apostle next to him (loud enough so the rich man could hear him ive always liked to think) “it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kindom of heaven”..Jesus didnt say to the rich man – go and sell some little thing you wont miss, then give it to someone you think is worthy of you, then follow me..he said give it all away…every cent..then when the guy (understandably really) is reluctant, Jesus rubs it in a little bit… The Same Jesus that Sarah Palin and All the other shmeckles claim to “follow”… its right there in plain king james english.
